ON3P Jeffrey skis and others

Hey NS

After all the pow the EC has received over the past week, Ive found myself not being able to float and charge on my regular skis. Im looking for something like the ON3P jeffrey but currently they are all sold out of 181cm and they are still out of my budget, Im willing to spend up to 500$ for a new pair of sticks. Here are my specs, 180cm tall, ski Vermont and I want something that will hold an edge on hardpack but will float in the deep stuff,

rocker camber rocker,

mid fat 110mm underfoot

mid to stiff ski

Thanks

I wasn't done posting, but the dog needed a walk so...

I have limited knowledge of the east coast, but here are my thoughts and a few questions first. Where do you ski (not just Vermont, what specific resorts)? Will this be replacing a ski, be your your only ski, be added to your quiver? What skis do you currently have? Is $500 a firm budget or will you be able to spend more. Also see the stickied thread of how to ask for ski advice.

Please correct me if i'm wrong on any of this, but from my stereotypical knowledge of the east coast is that there is limited terrain and ice. Due to the limited terrain I would assume that powder gets tracked out fast and because of the ice you might want to consider a narrower ski. Skis such as the ON3P Jeronimo, Icelantic Nomad and Nomad RKR, Line Blend, K2 Kung Fujas, and (insert ~100mm waist ski here). most of these skis are above you price range, but most of them can be found at end of season sales and places like evo.com's outlet.

Good points.

As a primarily VT skier, I have put in 10 days on Jeffreys so far this year. I'm used to skis on the wider side (also have Caylors and have skied VCTs for 6 years). The Jeffreys haven't necessarily been a problem for me here (5' 9" 175). In the end, it all depends what you're used to.

I would agree with Jake that you should take a look at skis ~100 underfoot but I wouldn't go any higher than the 110 that the Jeffrey has.

Hey man you should look into Worth Skis, they are a small custom shop based in VT that make siiiccckk EC specific skis. They are more then $500 but they would be well worth it. If you are new to VT you should look into Smuggs, Mad River Glenn, Jay Peak, Magic Mountain(super sick), Middlebury snow bowl( best woods outside of the NVT mountains.

Hope that works

Praxis MVPs, pretty cheap right now and IMO most durable skis on the market with customizable flex and construction
