On3p Jeffery vs. line blend

Hey Ns,

So i am looking for a ski for all mountain and powder something to bring on a mountain trip that can hold out for any conditions that they may have something can float when I head to bc but still be able to ski on a day with no fresh snow and be able to hit a few rails on the way down. I ski mostly marmot basin so there isn't many powder days but they will be a few good ones throughout the year I also go out to BC each year and ski kicking horse and revelstoke so something that can hold up there as well I am 5'10 135lb this would be my first more powder specific ski, I have been looking at the line blends and on3p Jeffery's but am open to any suggestions thanks.

Blends would be lighter, easier around your local mtn and more park oriented.

The jefferys would slay and kill everything.

^This, for kicking horse and revvy I personally would rather be on Jeffreys, but back at marmot basin, for park you may be wanting a lighter ski that's easier to get around. It may be worth noting that next season the Jeffrey steps up to 110 underfoot and the Jeronimo to 101, meaning the J'mo enters as an alternative to the Blend. So the first choice you want to make is between Blends and Jeronimo, out of the two, for the sake of pure durability I would go for the J'mo. Now you need decide whats more important deeper snow performance or park performance. The J'mo is more park oriented than the Jeffrey however it's deeper snow performance will not be horrible, likewise the Jeffrey will out perform the J'mo in deeper snow but it won't match the J'mo's park performance.

I'll still have my park skis just the rails on the lower mountain is just when we rip down through the park getting to the bottom but being on a wider ski i would more likely stick to some boxes and jumps just something that can handle groomers aswell.

Have you ridden Jeffrey's? Or have any experience to back that opinion up?

I have owned the 11/12 Jeffrey's and currently have about 10 days on my 12/13 Jeffrey's and I think the 12/13 Jeffrey's are the most fun, and playful ski I have been on. Extremely quick edge to edge for a ski this size. After having used both 191Caylor's and 191 Billy Goat's my "every day" skis , the 186 Jeffrey's feel very light and agile, but do not sacrifice stability which is very important to me.

If I wanted one ski to use for groomers/pow/and general fucking around, it would be the 12/13 186 Jeffrey's. They kill it everywhere, I have yet to find a speed limit or a negative thing to say about these skis. Not to mention the ON3P's are made with better materials, in Oregon by skiers and not a factory in China by who knows.

(Some people don't give a shit where their products come from, because most of it comes from China, Malaysia, or Taiwan anyways. However, if I want a quality product, I won't be choosing something made in Asia. I don't buy guitars made in China or anywhere outside of North America, so why would I buy skis made in China? /semi-unrelated rant)

Yes I have experience with blends to back that up. I think if your getting a ski for groomers and some park laps a 108 underfoot is not needed. Do you have any experience with line blends? Or was this just for a blah blah blah made in america rant.

ON3Ps are the best skiing gear decision you will ever make. I will never buy from another company if I have a choice.

Thanks for the help so far guys looking more towards the Jeffery's and maybe even jeronimos now especially with the Pre sale going on there.

I'm really into supporting the smaller handmade company that on3p is.

+k

I would personally go jeffery, just because they look like the funnest fucking ski on the planet. Just keep in mind that between line and on3p, the jeffery is a lot closer to the sir francis bacon, with the jeronimo being closer to the blend. The jeronimo will feel like a more burly, stable blend, with the blend being slightly more playful and light and more park focused. Likewise, the jeffery will feel like a more burly, stable sir francis bacon, with the bacon being slightly more playful and light. Just sayin'

If your going with on3p I would look into the jmo's as well as the jeffrey to see what best fits your needs. Either way I've heard great things about on3p skis if that's the company you prefer.

I'm sure he's connected with ON3P the same way I am. Just loyal customers. I have spent a lot of money figuring out that ON3P makes some of the best ski's around.

So were looking at Jeffrey's being more powder performance all rounder and jmo's being the all mountain park preference.

Does anyone have a picture of either skis rocker profile or know how the jeromimos perform in powder?

jeffreys are a pnw quiver killer, the jmos are a quiver killer anywhere else. jmos wont be the best but by no means will they be bad in pow with about 100 underfoot and early rise they will ride fine

Exactly this. No affiliation whatsoever, just a loyal customer that is sick of mediocre, mass produced skis.

I will soon be purchasing my 9th pair of ON3P's. If that's any indication of loyalty, take it as you will.

^HAHA. Why the fuck do you care what other people ski so much you fucking tard. I wouldn't brag that I've owned 9 pairs of skis from a company that's been around 6 years. You only sound like a fucking douche. I ski ON3P but your a fucking tool.

Did you even read the thread? He's not bragging, it looks like he does the same thing I do, and that is sell off ski's while they are still in good condition.

The far left is a J-Mo and the center is a 12/13 Jeffery. Identical profile. I'm above 200 and have skied the J-mo just fine in pow.

Well this thread is going nowhere fast. Anyway from all the positive feedback I think I'm going to try out the jeronimos for my all mtn / park ski... if it's in the budget

After lots of debating, pming ON3P with questions and getting skier feedbackand, some on this thread... I have decided to seperate from my long term love affair with Line. I just preordered the j-mos.

When did I say that I cared what other people ski? I've owned a total of 8 pairs of ON3P's and plan on purchasing my 9th in the near future because I am constantly changing my quiver around. Why the fuck do you care so much?

good luck with the decision and thanks for considering Line. We haven't skied the ON3P but what we can tell you is the new Blend is about 15% lighter than previous models with early rise tip and tail, thin tip (light as hell tips) and cap wall (cap and sidewall hybrid) and a sweet f*cking white tiger and snake on the graphic.

Also every alpine ski in the world is made by a persons hands, if you know of this mysterious ski making machine, please inform us. Thanks!

whoops! didn't read the post that you bought the ON3Ps. Bummed to loose a Line rider but hope you have a great time on the new sticks!

Havnt bought em yet just seriously considering thanks for the reply though the new blends being lighter would be sick though.

Well said, Line has always been good to me, and ON3P,

I bought a limited edition ON3P t-shirt for $549 and they threw in a pair of skis!!!

Would it be real good to roll with the j-mos and the add to the quiver a few more seasons In as this would be my first ski over a 92 waist

On the factory stamped mark.....wherever that is. I don't dick around with ON3P mount locations. I just run them where the ski is designed to be skied.

God I miss all those skis.

I second this. I emailed Rowen when I was ready to mount and he assured me that the Factory mark was the best spot to mount my BGs.

Needless to say he was right.

Maybe if your an anal retentive gear nut who has really extreme preferences for the mounting of your ski, call ON3P and talk to anyone there and they can tell you how far you could move away from the mark before you start screwing around with the dynamics of the ski.

Yea this whole thread was well handled by line, always been impressed with their skis too.
