ON3P JEFFERY 114

I'm 5'7" 140lbs, advanced skier. The largest ski I ride is the 184 SFB. If I were to purchase the Jeffery should I get the 176 length or 181?

Damn, I'm 6'1 and I ride the 181's. I don't understand why you shorter guys have started riding such long ass skis. It's like the 1980's... toddlers will be riding 210's soon.

I have 176cm Volkl One's but may sell them. Haven't ridden them yet though. I mostly ski 170cm to 178cm for park, I can't really compare if I would of liked the 178 or 184 SFB, but I like stability over fidgety skis and even the 184cm SFB's at speed get swirly. The weight of the SFB's for being such a large ski is fine too.

All I really want is a damp, stable ski that can charge fairly well.

Something to note on ON3P is they run true to size or a touch longer (like 1 cm maybe which is nothing), but a lot of companies like Line run 2-3 cm short. So the 184 SFB is probably the same size as the 181 Jeffrey's, that should give you a pretty good idea.

Also I'm 5'7-5'8 and I ride 176 ON3Ps and love them.

If you guys had to compare the Jeffery to the SFB what would be the pros and cons. I love my sir francis bacons but they seem to fold easily and there's a speed limit. I know not a lot of people like K2 skis, but I loved the dampness and 4x4 feel of the recoils. They were very stable and plowed through anything.

How are the Jeffery's regarding dampness, stability at speed, float, and pop?

Well I've never skied SFBs, I was just commenting on sizing. And I doubt iggy has ridden them either haha.

But I find all ON3P to be super damp with th bamboo core and VDS. Especially damp on the fatter models like Kartels and Jeff.

They're very stable at high speeds. Float is good, especially for me since I'm a tiny guy. Taper and lots of rocker are super nice. Pop is great, the bamboo/fiberglass layup is great, and the little bit of camber is good too. Just an awesome ski.

To give you an idea on how much I like it I even have my Kartel 106s for sale so I can afford a wider ski when I go off to college like the Jeff 114/Kartel 116...

Honestly, they will be both damper and more stable at speed. The feel is pretty different - our skis have a pretty unique damp but poppy feel - you don't feel bumps and they don't get knocked around, but when you load the ski it comes right back to you in a really consistent and poppy fashion - bamboo and carbon at work.

Both great skis, just a different take on that ski niche. If you want something most stable, the Jeffrey is a good way to go though.

to ski faster dood, charge harder. If you're a sound skier longer skis all the way IMO. Im 5'11 on 186 114's and some days I wish they were longer or wider ahaha

Thanks guys appreciate the input!

Could anyone point to some good charger pow skis for the North East and occasional trip West, something stable and chargy. I have recoils for groomers, playful Volkl Ones for surfy light snow days and SFB's for versatility. I just need something damp and/or stable. Something that doesn't have a speed limit.

If you're on the east most of the time I'd get some Kartel 106/108.
