ON3P Jeffery 114 (damn there good)

Moving out to co this year i decided it was time for some new skis. Picked up a pair of Jeffery's and all i can say is they are by far the best skis i have ever skied on. As an x racer, i can say holy shit these skis can carve well (especially on the hard, snow gun blown snow at aspen right now) while also doing a nose butter 3 right after. Then you take it to some somewhat fresh pow and they also rip. Bomb down some bumps and the ski's feel incredibly stable. Coming from a quiver of park skis, race skis, all mountain skis and pow skis, i can truly say these skis replace all of them. While there is some compromise that you can feel, its dope af that i can take one ski out for the day and do everything while having so much fun.

I couldn't stop skiing my kartel 116's last week, even when the conditions probably called for something skinnier.

Yep. took my race skis to aspen planing on skiing on those due to the icy/hardpack condition, ended up skiing my jefferys just to see how they were. Blown away at how they could handle the conditions that i would normally ski on an all mountain (broke mine so it was either redster gs skis or jefferys)

Ive ridden the Jeffrey a few different times along with the Kartel 116. Just bought a pair this year. Very, VERY stoked to use those bad boys at Squaw on a pooder day. And of course those good ole Idapowder daze

The K106 VS the J114?

Honestly they have a somewhat similar feel, the Jeffrey is basically a fat Kartel. Defiantly more damp, chargy, floaty, and stable though.

No I have the k98/106 and jef114. I was interested in how you thought the k116 rode in comparison to the Jeffrey

Thanks

Honestly I dont have a ton of time on the K116, and only a few days on the J114.

But from what I can remember I thought the K116 was slightly more maneuverable. They have similar floating abilities but float differently since the J114 has that fat boxy shape and since the K116 are more tapered. Both charge hard. Both poppy. I mean theyre similar in a lot of ways, the K116 is essentially an updated J114 if that helps at all.

I can't get over how well the K116 ski's. I feel as it is the most maneuverable of the wider ON3P jib/pow ski's I have been on. But still has the backbone to charge. I am really enamored with this ski right now. I think I may have actually done some of the best personal skiing I have done in my life on these yesterday. And for reference....I have been on a LOT of ON3P skis.

Honestly the taper on them was good call. And I usually dont like some types of taper. But yes they kind of are like the jibby billy goat haha. except not really, but kinda. Ive never been on a ski that can compare so Im not sure

BG is my ski of reference at this point. Nothing skis like a BG. But I have owned Caylors, and the 2nd gen Jeffery. Both great. K116 is better.

If the BG and Jeffrey did the dirty then the Kartel 116? But the Jeffrey gave out more dominant genes for sureseys.
