ON3P is no longer core

Don't get me wrong, I love the brand and they still make awesome skis, but I've seen far too many jerries and dentists on them lately. Perhaps that's a good thing for the brand overall as they progress into the mainstream and reach a wider market with deeper pockets. They're still my ride or die, but I no longer consider myself special for having them.

You might wanna quit skiing because that's literally every brand in skiing. Who do you think is dumping all of this money into skiing? It's certainly not us.

Why would you think yourself to be special for owning on3ps? They just a cool pair of skis

If you bought ON3Ps to feel special and not because they were a good fit for you and your skiing, I literally could not give less of a fuck about your opinion of ON3P.

I feel the consumer isn’t the deciding factor in what’s core, but rather the people behind the brand and what they stand for and how they interact with the community and what they bring to the table. If a company is started by skiers with intent to better the community or bring something to it then I would say that’s pretty core. Whether it’s Meeks or office space Craig from I.T. Who only hit the mountain on Christmas break shouldn’t dictate if a brand is core or not. The share holders should be what dictates that, example when a core brand is bought out by a larger company then I would say it’s no longer “core” but that’s just my thought process on it.

Buying skis from a company isn't core bro, you gotta shape your own. Industry skis are just way too commercial. Think about the corporations!!!!!!!111!!!!

I've ridden their skis for longer than a lot of NS has been alive because they're the best out there. I'm just saying they aren't the unique niche brand they used to be.

ON3P no longer core !!!!

Residual value COLLAPSING!!!

OP YOU MUST SELL YOUR SKIS NOW FOR $55 SHIPPED NOW!!!!!

TOMORROW THEY WILL BE WORTHLESS

SELL SELL SELL

I have yet to see a dentist on a pair of vishus so I guess that still makes them "core"

Bc that’s what makes a brand “core”…

OP your opinion is extremely invalid and if you buy skis from a brand to make yourself feel “special” you’re doing it for the wrong reasons

should've phrased it differently OP.

it's valid to not want to see normies on what you considered was a brand for the super steezy. but companies will grow. it can still be core, just not underground.

100 percent agree with this

L take, who gives a fuck about who buys the skis. It’s all about what the company does for the culture. ON3P has been at the top of freeski for a long fuckin time.

that being said, kids at my local need to STOP SAYING ONEP

So we should stop supporting one of the few companies producing skis in America because you saw 1 dentist ride a pair? Who honestly gives a fuck about that? ON3P has been on top of the freeski world for a decent while and naturally people outside of the community are going to take notice.

Want a totally unique pair of skis that normies will never ride? build your own. If you're not willing to do that then support the brands that support us.

Then explain why I'm broke.

L take...Take a step back and think- is the reason that you ski because it makes you feel special? or is it because its fun and you enjoy it? Even if I was only allowed to ski soul 7s for the rest of my life, i would still be stoked because i get to ski.

Legit question for you- when you buy skis, do you just automatically rule out brands that arent core? will you even look at skis like the Rossi Black Ops, Dynastar M Free, and Salomon QST Blank just because they arent handmade in portland? or do you get embarassed that your ski says "Rossignol" on it and a jerry may recognize the brand from a rental store?

it’s insane how well on3p handled losing their main guys, most companies fold when the main dudes leave the brand but on3p is better and stronger than ever imo

Ngl Im not reading that paragraph but I completly agree with the title. Been feeling that way for a few months now actually. Glad I never bought em because I don't fuck with them anymore.

Just curious- why? Im a little confused- they make dang good skis. Plus its not like the company has done anything bad

It’s always so interesting to watch the progression of, “everyone should support this brand, they’re core, they’re the best, I wish they had the funds.”

then

”omg it’s so played my uncle Steve’s boyfriend rides ON3P does the company that started out of a garage on an internet website even care about skiing?”

be excited about them holy shit no one is that important you’re fine

Wait did you just put bricks under your trips and tail and rocker them and paint them green and you ride ON3p that makes a lot more sense

the only correct pronunciation is onthrip

If dentists start buying vishnus I will have so much extra money for video projects, would be dope actually

One would think those fallen usernames before you would have served as a lesson to not tarnish the name....

Profit from your ski purchase goes to paying shareholder dividends and diversifying into ventures unrelated to skiing? Not core.

Profit goes toward paying skiers, funding ski projects, and developing better skis? Core.

I just googled Leos Shack. Damn dude seems like that was an awesome spot. The kind of spot you mourn the loss of I imagine. It's pretty lame when great spots like that with so much effort and passion put into them get burned just because they're "homes of illegal squatters" or whatever crazy reasons the gov/ministry have for trashing them. Keep em lowkey thats how you keep em alive I guess.

Anyway, cool username man

You guys should make a dentist pro model and only sell them to qualified dentists who show their dentist certifications. 5000 bucks a pair.
