ON3P HELP

Anyone know how far back the recommended mount is for a 176 Kartel 106? If I want to ski park as well as all mountain, and I like to land switch.. where should I mount them? I always loved the feel of a center mounted ski.

The mount point is moved forward compared to most skis, and corresponds to the sidecut.

IME, the ON3P mount locations are no accident mount that shit where they say to. You will not be disappointed.

On the older JMOS the mount point is -4.25cm back. I have had a lot of time to play around with the mount point, ad I have schizos bindings on the ski. IMO the ski felt more balanced on jumps at -2 (from true center), and that's where I'd put it for mostly park riding. For mostly all mountain on the line is great. For a 50/50 split -3 is a good compormise

The recommended mount is really designed for both park and all mountain. If you want it to be a bit more center, I would go up to +2 from the mark.

Just for clarity, the mount changes by length (for example, the 186 is -4.25 where the 181 is -4, etc).

For an all-mountain/park split, go on the line.

If going pure park, then I would go +2 forward.

To further clarify - mount points are generally all specific, even down to size and year of model. There were a few minor changes from year to year as we further refined the elliptical rocker and sidecut. Best way to get this info yourself - check the left sidewall on each ski for a punch, find true center and measure the difference between the punch and your line.

And a word of advice - we spent an excruciating amount of time designing and testing different mounts. On skis like the Billy Goat, it's fairly important to ride it around that line, but we took into account that many people, including our riders, want to center skis like the Jeffrey and Kartel - hence, these skis were designed to support a wider range of mounts forward of the line. Trust us, we think like you do!

Thanks for the advice! I just love the all mountain aspects of the Kartel 106 but love the fun of the center mount

I actually have the green/Yellow top sheet 2013 model. 176- I was surprised the mount point was -4.25 for that length, but I double checked my skis and that's where they are marked. Personally if I had to just mount it in one place I'd probably go -3.5 or so. Mount point is a person to person preference to some degree.
