ON3P Filthy Rich vs. Icelantic DaNollie

Have to choose one. The Filthys are $580 and the Danollies are $450. I usually ski park all day but like to play all over the mountain in between runs. 5'7 140lbs. Couldn't rate myself as a GREAT skier but the best tricks I can do currently are a 720 and front/back flip. I don't know whether I prefer my skis soft or stiff but I'd rather have a stiffer ski for increased power. Itll be my fourth season and I'm tired of breaking rentals, please help me choose one.

Just an FYI go to skis.com and check their peice on da nollies. 2015s are $299 last time I checked

You'll probably enjoy both pairs so you can't go wrong. on3p will be more durable, but from what I hear Icelantic warranties are solid. Good service from both companies. Icelantics will have a softer flex than the flithys but the filth's are still super playful with all that rocker and some flex.

Do you know how much camber the Filthys have? On their site it looks so small compared to the amount of rocker it has. Will it still have good pop?

almost no camber, looking at mine right now, but the rocker and the stiffness makes for great pop and butters, still buttery and playful but not too soft of a flex

See photo below.

Because the bamboo core + carbon is very poppy, we run our camber a bit lower a lot of brands.

Just because you can throw a front flip / backflip and 720's doesn't make you a good skier. From the sound of it...you should get a solid all mountain ski and work on your skiing skills considering you admitted it wasn't very good.

But I have tried Danollie's and they are pretty dam fun

I didn't admit I wasn't very good, I said I wasn't the greatest skier. And I used those tricks that I can do to show what I have learned in the park

Thanks, what size should I get? 5'7" roughly 130lbs

I would probably lean towards the 171cm as well. You are pretty light. I hope that helps. If you need more help, give the ON3P factory a call - 503-206-5909. Thanks!

At your weight, 171cm. Height wise, you could go either 171 or 176 but you are pretty light, so I would likely size down.

Bamboo + carbon core as in full carbon instead of fiberglass? Or fiberglass carbon combo?

Apparently my brain wasn't working right last week. Bamboo core + carbon. All of layups are a hybrid of carbon/fiberglass.

Makes sense haha a full carbon ski would kind of defeat the purpose of using bamboo.
