ON3P Filthy Rich, or Fatypus L-Toro?

Both are great choices and you wont be disappointed. But the L-toro is pretty flexy (adam delorme), and the Filthy Rich is stiffer. Both are really durable and well made skis.

Both would be great skis. You may want to decide whether you want a thicker ski (L-toro at 101) or a thinner ski (filthy riches at 88). Other things to look at would be the flex pattern and the rocker profile.

They are two totally different skis, The filthy rich is stiff, full rocker, symmetrical, and 100% park oriented. Versus the L-toro which is significantly wider, much softer, and a traditional all-mountain ski design. I own L-toros and have skied filthy riches, the L-toros are an absolutely amazing ski. Super light and super playful, a blast in the park. The filthy rich was a lot heavier, and stiffer, but still really fun and playful, it all depends on what YOU want in a ski.

I have both and they are both super fun. You can't go wrong with either. Here's my 2 cents.

FR: Ridiculously playful. Stiff enough to hold its own even when charging groomer. The elliptical turning radius makes it fun out of the park. It carves very well even for a completely symmetrical ski. They are light, very poppy, and although it is a mid-stiff ski, the rocker (there's a sit load of it by the way) allows the ski t butter quite easily. I ski predominantly rails, and the thick edges don't hurt. They're crazy durable.

Sparknotes: fast, mid-stiff, poppy, and yet somehow buttery.

L-Toro: Super soft. It has much less rocker than the FR, but still enough to notice. Wider platform lets you take it into fresh with ease. And while it is a directional ski, it got chattery when I got to higher speeds simply based on the softness. In the park, bigger jumps can be done, but keep in mind that they are a soft ski. They kill rails, though. Presses are effortless, and if you've ever seen AD ski, you'd know that these skis butter like a dream. They are, however, a teencey bit slower than the FRs.

Sparknotes: Soft, playful, Buttery as fuck

To the extent that each trait endows each ski, I would say its a dead tie, just a little different. It matters what/how you like to ski.

how much better is the l-toro for butters? i'd like to get a pair but the $999 isn't very appealing...

The L-toros are sick. Best ski i've ever ridden. flex is insane but theyre still stable and poppy when needed. picked mine up for $390 on a sale, best decision ive ever made.
