On3p custom edgeless

Ordered a pair of the edgleless on3ps whenever they dropped and haven’t heard anything since the order confirmation email. I want to call but don’t want to be a dick cuz it could also be they might just be behind and the edgeless just has a long lead time right now. Anyone else on here order em and having a similar expirience?

I’m pretty sure the edgeless haven’t been built yet. Any custom ski from anywhere is gonna take a while to make. I’m sure you could call though and get an eta. I wouldn’t be worried.

Yeah I figured it was still on lead. Dont need them to ski so I’m chillin anyways. Can’t wait to get em

lol this reminds me of asking for on3p jeronimos for Christmas in like 2009. The skis didn’t come til a few months later and my dad was kinda tweakin that we got scammed. Scott was a g and emailed my dad that they were getting started and the skis would arrive. Got them in March and they were a terrifying shape. Fun to carving tight turns but they wouldn’t ski switch or go flat base very easily.

When you buy customs there is a disclaimer after you've made all your selections that says "I acknowledge that this is a custom built ski with a lead time from Xx to Xx days." It's still early in the year and I'm sure they're probably building stock stuff and throwing in customs intermittently, I've never waited longer than 30 days for a custom ski but I usually order later in the season too.

Since you have paid it sure is okay to call and ask. You're just stoked, looking forward etc.

Also its ON3P, sure they are busy building skis but probably happy to inform you about the process.

They must be happy with the people that pay $1000 upfront on a pair of skis without any timeline etc. Not a lot of ski companies can say that.

weird it didn't show up at the bottom on the edgeless customizer but this is the lead time for regular custom skis:

It didn’t show me that

They just showed a clip on their insta stories of edgeless in production. I'm not sure the process for edgeless as I have no interest so have not discussed it with Scott. But I imagine edgeless might be a disruption for the normal process so they would probably be batched.

I was at the factory in the spring and I asked Scott if he would ever release an edgeless underfoot or at least a full edgeless to the public, he pretty much said both are an EXTREME pain in the ass, lol. Which I’d imagine.

Props to them though on at least giving a super niche part of the already small community access to something like this. 900 for skis is definitely a lot but I feel like those hold up longer than normal planks. When edges fall out it’s hard to maintain a good bond between base and sidewall, but with just base sticking all the way over id imagine it’s bonded super super well. That’s how armada edgeless skis were at least.
