welp I have no money and am just dreaming but I want one of these eventually to ski. I've skied the nomads and thought they were fun but am more interested in the directional feeling of the billygoats. So I am really interested in advise from people who've skied billygoats before. A quick number of questions: do the billygoats have a good shovel to plow through crud? furthermore are they good for not super soft days as well?

thank you

Billygoat is the best crud ski, I have been on. Though clarify if by not super soft you mean day after storm, heavy variable new snow, or straight up groomer day. Would not be my first choice for a groomer day.
