Man woke up my final day just not feeling it. Was sore as fuck from the blades again. Took them into the park. Didn’t do anything crazy but just really beats up your core more since you have no support from the skis so you really activate muscles that just don’t normally get much use. Ended up going back up to heavenly for bit. Skied pretty lazy but got some fun turns in for my last day. Took hr blades again. They’re so scary that they’re just so fun. Either ski or die basically.
Landings are still a bit sketch on the blades they just want to buck you over head when you land unless youre way back seat, then they just want to dump you backwards. You really have to land centered with a slight reward lean ideally. Blades took a knocking but kept on rocking. Got a little dent, was either from a rail I landed onto pretty hard or a box I did a tail touch on. Both were pretty hard hits the way I landed but no major damage. Skis are tools
was suppose to wake up early and drive to kirkwood. A local homie was supposed to meet me at the hotel and ride out with me but he sold out so Just didn’t wake up early.
weather was starting to get heavier wind, cold and snow wise. I have snow tires on the rental but really didn’t want to get snowed in at kirkwood since things were suppose to pick up throughout the day. Pasta with sausage for dinner
I had to leave the hotel at 1:45 am to drive back to Reno. Flight was at 535. Back home in Florida now unfortunately. Missing the snow already. Hoping to make it to whistler next month for one last trip for the season.
for those of you who followed and enjoyed. Thanks, appreciate your contributions to the thread.
That 1:45am leaving the hotel just hits harder
And of course. A welcome home beer
