On That Drunk Bus

I'm moving to a new location and I'll be taking the public transportation, aka bus/train to get to the hill. Does anyone else take public transportation to the hill? How do you move your gear there easily without it getting all smashed or stolen and having to walk in your boots for a distance.

i take the bus to big sky and its awesome extra hour of sleep every morning. On our buses you put your gear underneath and then i carry my boots on and either put them on right before i get off or just wait till i can find a chair or locker room

carry skis normally with boots clipped in. Take two big, long, thick socks and cover both ends of your skis like a condom. tape poles together and wear your other gear. Carry a big knife if you don't want your shit stolen. I assume you don't mean a bus designated for getting to the hill, but like a city transit type deal.

Ya it's not a bus for going to the hill, it's just public transportation. I was thinking a bag for my skis and boots. Knife to fend beggers off is a good idea

Is your public transportation system full of homeless people and petty crooks?

There is a bus route that happens to go right to the bottom of my local hill. I take it whenever I can't get a ride up. 5 minute walk to the bus stop, 15 minute bus ride to the gondola station.
