On Surface getting so much play...

The ignorance in this thread is mind-boggling.

How many companies have as much of a distinct personality as Surface? Face it, theres more to a ski company than just the skis. And unless you've skied on them, don't talk smack. I happen to LOVE their sticks. I got a ride a pair of Watch Lifes in Tahoe briefly and I fell in love.
 
really though, i'm excited to see the new surface team film.

they'll either make it or break it as a team, in my eyes.

i just heard about all the stuff ninthward has been and is up too and am very stoked on them. i've seen enough to know that the image and the team they're creating themselves is incredible.
 
its not about image at surface, its about what is in your head.

but check out Off Trail's "catchy title" to see some of it or wait for the surface flick to surface.

until 2 years ago Armada produced ALL their skis at the Pale factory. Your logic is really silly. Basically your claim is that ALL Armadas, ALL Ninthwards, ALL Surface and ALL Pale skis are the same ski with a different top sheet, more or less. Fantastic claim bro.

Well dude..the thing is that if you go to their site and look at the rider's list and look at the pictures and videos and stuff, everyone's wearing tight pants.

Now for fuck's sake I said that I friggin liked that, why does everyone keep saying "it's a stereotype" and shit. It's not a stereotype, it's an observation of all the kids that ride for them. And why does everyone hate the fact that the go and in hand. If you really didn't care about what you wear on the slope, you wouldn't hate it.

I believe that not everyone who skis them rocks the tight pants and now that not everyone who rides for them doesn't (slandis, malone). But damn! What a backlash just for wondering if they were purposely supporting that steeze. Personally that would have been cool if they had intended it that way (which I think they did at some point cause come on that can't just be a coincidence, and it goes with a certain style of skiing that they must have been after). I think it's a good way to freshen skiing up.

But not warrantying shit and charging a lot for the same sticks that you can get under a blank name for much cheaper...not cool at all.
 
it's not my job (or any other mod's) to kill 9, stupid. NS never told me or anyone else to hate on 9ward in any way, that'd be retarded.
