OMG...The Tanner Hall Story

OMG...this is so sad...my friend works as an intern at sony studios and she calls me and tells me they're casting for this movie about some skier. I bug her for details, turns out its THE TANNER HALL STORY about his crash at chad's gap eons ago.

She said there are aiming for a fall 2008 release date in something like 1200 theaters in the north america.

I am in shock...

i don't know about that. wouldnt make any sense, cuz the story of the crash was on scarred. also show and prove was the t-hall/cr love story, so i don't see how they could make a whole movie out of it.

If they're gonna make a movie about skiing, make it about JP or one of those guys who knows whats up...not that tanner doesn't, i just hate tanners fucking guts.

Yah that would be great. JP's story. but I don't think there would be enough "exciting" stuff for a normal public. But the CRASH, that can take money from regular people.

well not a lot posted without talking about that post... just me... in fact I laughed, just had nothing to say about it

They should do a movie on Marc-Andre Beliveau instead.I mean the guy never gonna walk again...

I remember he went on a TV show , Claire Lamarche( Quebec's Oprah Winfrey if you want). That's a real story that could do a movie.

YEAH that is pretty weird is the movie jsut about the crash or like is it going to be up to the crash that doesnt make sense.

how could you put tanners wreck in a full length movie?? even if you gave all the background possible it would still only take up maybe a half hour prolly less.

no i say its not gonna happen

I dont think it would be a good movie, but the way I guess they would do it is by making it a story of returning against all odds kinda thing. B/c they can show the crash and then end it by him winning the x-games, sounds like a real tear jerker to me.

Seriously, I think the general public would rather watch a young kid, who's sick at any type of skiing. Plus they have a huge buildup for the Crash, so it makes good tv.

My ankles are broken, My ankles are broken! F*** My ankles are broken!

Lets hope not, this world doesnt need another movie of someone trying to prove to everyone else how amazing they are!

hmm. why all the hate. without tanner skiing wouldnt be what it is today. in my opinion tanner is the best skier in the universe.

why not support it (if its actually true) because it would make our sport grow, im sure if you could pick someone it would be on it wouldnt be tanner, but comin from another schralper of the utah pow i know tanner would be a good person to do it on. honestly the kid works harder than anyone, and hes better than anyone he doesnt have to work that hard, but he does. Plus he bounced back from that injury like it was nothin, 8 months non weight bearing, keep that in mind. The next time another skier wins every contest he has ever entered, starts a film company, and films a true ski movie, hit me up. The bottom line is Tanner has fuckin slayed every possible aspect of being a pro skier. Hate his personality, but thats just as stupid cause you dont kno the kid. Concede the fact you are stupid for starting the hate.

There is no reason to hate the "new" Tanner. He does work harder then anyone else- I was at the USFSO at Copper this Winter and I'd bet Tanner did twice as many half pipe practice runs then almost any other athlete. He was really mellow, but totally focused on the competition. I've never been a big fan, but after his accident I have to give him a ton of credit for getting back into the game and going as big as ever.

But I'm not sure about this whole movie deal with Sony. I talked to a friend who works at Sony and it was the first he had heard about it. He checked an internal list of projects in developement and didn't see anything there either, but it could be in the very early planning stages, which would make sense since they won't be able to shoot anything until next winter.

Man, why are the little guys always hatin' on the success stories.

Sorry bud, I got news for you. Not everyone can make it like I have. You'd better start loving your meaningless blue collar job, 'cos it's either that, or suicide.

I'm outside the Sony headquarters, and I just talked to Amy Pascal (Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment Division), and a THall documentary has not been greenlit, nor is it in development. It's too bad really, I was kinda excited about the idea this morning.

Just say "a big shot at Sony says the T Hall movie ain't happening" unless she knew you were going to quote her here and she was OK with that. I'm not saying she's not a good source for info on this, but production people hate it when they are quoted on a conversation that they thought was a private, off-the-record, discussion with a friend or co-worker.

T. Hall checks in here sometimes, maybe he can toss in his 2 cents.....

I just do. its my opinion. you've yours i've mine. no i haven't met tanner, neither have all the other people who love him so much. even if for no other reason, i hate him because everyone else doesn't.

plus

when took that burrito outta that guys hand in that movie.....that angered me.

Stefan thomas knows what hes talking about listen to him dont hate on tanner hes an amazing skier. As for this movie im doubt it skiing movies make no money either do skate or snowboard ones.. if it is true then awesome i wonder who will play tanner lol...

It's the Tanner Hall Story, not the Tanner Hall Chad's Gap Crash Story. If they make one it will probably be about his whole life, with clips from every movie he's been in not just the crash. If it is made I would go see it because I respect Tanner Hall as a skier.
