OMG my macbook...

Sooo an unnamed former pro skier may or may not have spilled beer on my macbook tonight. I turned it off withing 15 seconds of it happening. It's sitting, open, upside down, in front of a fan right now. Is my computer done? How long should i wait until i try turning it on?

I know there's already a thread about this, I've read it... I search barred and couldn't find it so forgive me repetition.
 
like all electronics that get wet, take the battery out and put it in rice or a pile of those silica pouches that you get in your shoes or beef jerky, so go to wal mart and steel them out of all the shoes.
 
make sure you remove battery. i spilt an entire bottle of water on mine, completely sober, cough*, and i turned it upside down with battery out for three days before it worked again.
 
chances are 50/50i guess,my friend spilled half a glass of water on his laptop and its completely wasted.....
so i hope you're lucky....
also, if you can, open everything on your laptop, if you have drives that are exchangeable, take them out, try open your cd player, try to ventilate it as good as possible, then store it in a cool dry place, dont heat it or dry it in sun, this will only boost the oxidating process on the components...

SO last night about 5 hours after it happened i got home... went to check on it, and in my drunken stupor, ACCIDENTALLY turned it on... i was pretty scared for a second, but everything sounded okay as it turned on, and now its working perfectly. I was just trying to move it off my bed so i could sleep, and hit the power button as I picked it up.
Yay macbooks! All i could think about is Jon's blog entry when he left his computer outside in the snow overnight and it worked fine encrusted in ice.
 
this is funny because while i dont have a macbook air, i still haven't used a cd or dvd with my computer in at least 2 years..
