I subscribed and got like 3 issues, then nothing. Well, I have received multiple letters and emails urging me to subscribe again. wtf freeskier?
 
the powder one sucks, does the freeskier one atleast review the skis? the last freeskier buyers guide's have sucked, it seemed like a bunch of old people talking about how a pure park ski handles groomers and pow. hopefully its better this year.
 
are you fucking serious...they definitely don't just talk about that. Not last year at least, I still have to look at this year. If you ski anywhere outside the park, then it's awesome info to have anyways.

In any case, I'd rather come onto NS to look at reviews on park skis than any magazine. Way more detail for sure.
 
i understand testing certain ski's on groomers and pow, but pure park ski's should be tested in the park, pow ski's should be tested in the pow etc.. it seemed like most the review for a pure park ski was talking about how well it held an edge on a groomer or how it does in pow, and how pure pow ski's werent very good on hardpack.
 
yeah go onto NS for that. Park skis are a lot of personal preference, while holding an edge and turning radius and how the flex works in different conditions are not opinion.
 
not hating or anything...it's just super hard to review a park ski other than talking about how good the flex is and how sick it was for your weight and height with that size. I guess it is sort of the same for outside the park too, but how well you can spin with it is all about technique for a person.

Spinning techniques can differ, turning techniques don't usually differ since you're trying to hold an edge I guess...

All I'm saying are park skis in the park are hard to review while how skis flex and turn are not hard to review. Yay.
 
does anyone know if it is on newsstands yet? or at barns and nobles? my free subscription through camp got screwed up so guess im getting it at barns and nobles....but i really want it...ski withdrawals like crazy!!!
 
Oh hot damn. I'm not sure if I'm subscribed to Freeskier. I kinda just rely on them to keep sending me magazines. They never sent a notification for me to give them money or some shit so hopefully I'll get one.

stoked to get the buyers guide tho, since when do canadians get freeskier before us in the states. usually you read about them getting their issues like a month late. impressive improvement freeskier, but i still want mine.
 
agh i want mine. i've already gotten my powder one and skiing one (which sucked...expected though)
