So these days everyone is making rants, i though biking deserved a fair shot. I am mainly talking aobut BMX and Mountain Biking. You use so much muscle for both. Both helps you with skiing becasue you gain a shit ton of leg muscle and you learn a lot of balance. You stay in shape in the off season of skiing, and the good thing about a bike is you dont have to limit yourself to pavement like skateboarding and rollerblading. I think biking is one of the best cross trainings becasue you keep in shape and then some.

Any comments?

i dropped 1500 on my bike this summer, yes it has helped me with me skiing cuz if im abou to crash biking a try a whole hell of alot harder to pull out of cuz i really dont want to fall off some giant jump onto hard dirt...and yes, it takes a toll on your shins

I spent half my life hating on roadies and moved into the city this year, built a fixie and have never turned back. The speed is incredible, and single speed keeps my legs RIPPED.

fixed gears are soooo much fun. that's all my friends and i do here in columbus. it's so easy to get around... considerably faster than driving. also, you can race around with absolute disregard for traffic laws and anyone else on the road. so exhilerating.

Offroad moutain is intense...you go up and you get so tired that on the way down it makes shit twice as hard...I popped of a jump this year too fast clipped a tree and watched my bike get thrased for like 100yds downhill till it got wedged in some rocks...not fun but at the same time...fun!

not a rant. and i quit biking cause i simply cant afford biking and skiing. your right tho, great crosstraining.

i was watching something on tv not to long ago, i think it was the Boom Boom Huck Jam and some guy did a double back with a 180 in the pipe, so like a backflip plus a flair. that was so sick, i did not think it could be done.

Yea man I love biking, I just finished putting some new brakes on my p2 a few days back. You cant beat ripping around doing some urban riding

i really want to go find some sweet mountain biking trails, but in MT we have a lot of planes.

uhh, i wouldn't go that far on better on DJs. i used to BMX and now i do urban and DJ on a big bike. id say big bikes(24 to 26 inch) are beter for dirt jumps in my opinion.

hey if you guys are interested im selling a trek bike its a 9.9 i think and its only been used a few times. i mean perfect condition. hit me up
