well in global 2 periods ago my teacher told us

that the schools are changing and making it so school

is 12 months long that is fucking bullshit, in the south

this has allready changed and is happening if school

changes to 12 months in new york ima kill someone

if anyone knows about this id like to kno more info. thanks
 
this is true. but its like it just never ends. it feels better to just get it all done at once. atleast i think so
 
i'd actually like that better.  you'd be getting at least 2 or 3 longer breaks during ski season.    stop being a bitch about it. it's not the end of the world.
 
yea, ik what your saying. but still, that would mean that it would be like having spring break twice a month. that could be kinda ok too also.
 
ya in switzerland its kinda like this.. but they get a 2 week fall break, a 5 week summer break 2 week christmas/new year, 2 weeks for sport in february, another 2 weeks for spring break. and its all a bit more balanced. the best is the sport break!!
 
they have been talking about doing that ever since i was in grade 4. im in my second year of college now.
 
fuck that, summer vacation is 100% necessary. i know you'll get some more lengthy vacations in the middle here and there but the thing is, it'll just feel like it never ends. think about the feeling of constant school. you need a nice big break in between years to mature and let out some steam so you're ready. fucking bad idea, glad i'm in college now.
 
imagine how weird it would be when the seniors graduate...then the once juniors take their place three weeks later. thats such a hard and quick transition. vacations are good as they are. school is the way it is to make it so kids dont feel like their adults working. well thats not true necessarily, but it works out that way so.
 
finishing a grade feels so much better, and when summer comes you dont have to worry about anything, just summer. no fucking homework, that you would get if school was all year around.
 
my cousin gos to a private school and they do that but he gets like 3 weeks off for christmas and gets ike another 2 week vacation in winter

thats the best part of summer, so you dont have to do any homework. and when would you do a job that actually makes you enough money that you don't have to work the rest of the year? businesses would be hurting if the school went year long.
 
seems like that'd be a really bad deal for teachers. Not to mention parents. And students who want summer jobs.
 
you get longer and more breaks. it's the same amount of time in the classroom just spread out over a longer time.
 
My friend who lives in florida has it like this. I think there needs to be a summer break but maybe only 6 or 7 weeks, not 10ish. And there should be like a week off in fall, a week off in christmas, a week off in february, a week off in the spring

but i don't think this will happen for a long time and i have three more years left till college so who cares
 
that would be sweet if it happened my senior year (2 years) get like a month and a half off total for skiing, think of that awesomeness!! but it would suck too, it would be way gay if you had to go through 4 years of that shit.

In the marine engineering technology I have school for 1year, 1 coop term, 1year and a half of school, 4 months of coop and 4 months of school. Between every semester and coop, I have 2 weeks off.
