Olympic Slopestyle Skiing

I know that its not in the olympics yet but i think its only a matter of time before it is in the olympics. I was wondering what year you guys think that it will be accepted and if you dont think it will ever be accepted why?
 
Jesus fucking christ. I never, ever want to see slopestyle in the Olympics. Pipe, fine, in fact I think pipe in the Olympics is great. But slopestyle, fuck no. Motherfucking no.

It would completely destroy all originality in competition skiing (although there is already not much).
 
why don't people like this idea? if the motivation of and x games gold did what it did at last years big air, imagine what an olympic gold could do.
 
Its getting too big a part of winter sports for it not to be considered so yeah it'll probably end up in the Olympics whether or not we support the idea or not.
 
i honestly dont care if its in there or not. but i want to know why everyone is bashing the idea of having slopestyle in the olympics?
 
it will happen but i dont want it to... yea exposure for the sport but the way it will be judged will be terrible
 
how would the judging be any different then halfpipe and mogul skiing they all require judging you would have to throw away style and just focus on the cleaness of your tricks
 
slopestyle in the olympics? not any time soon.

I see them including a lot wider variety of extreme sports before slopestyle ever enters the olympics. skate boarding has been around for how long? and it still isn't in the olympics
 
I just can't call someone who tries to turn a profit from skiing a true skier. If they just ski and happen to make money, whatever. But opening a resort? No.
 
unless your a hippy who makes his own skis and is a backcountry only guy you cant say skiing isn't a business.
 
True skiers? Stop being elitist. The best and most dedicated skiers are the one who turn skiing into a business. If skiing wasn't a business, I doubt you'd be a fan of it.
 
I'm saying that I don't think he would ski if he had to make his own skis, boots, bindings, poles, chairlifts, jumps.... etc.
