Olympic Halfpipe Skiing. Yay or nay?

umm....are you retarded?

where is the comparison here? Track and Field events I would say take much more practice and training than skiing.

I vote Nay, FWIW.

Skiing (or I guess I should say skiers) is not nearly mature enough, nor does it take as much skill as other olympic events. And frankly, I don't think snowboard pipe should be an olympic event either.

So your saying that going somewhere around 80mph down an iced out hill and running gates doesnt take balls? You have no fucking idea what your talking about.

yeah man toaltly everyone better hit the gym stop having fun bc we all know that skiing and learing new tricks everyday is not training we are all a bunch of lazy ass holes maby we should all meet at the mnt at like 6 to do some sprints b4 we get on the slopes

if you think the pros are out there fucking around not "training" and busting there asses just to be the best then your dumb

what is training to you?

YAY the halfpipe

YAY YAY YAY, that would be DOPE as HELL magn, like to push it thaat much further, get more people that dont know what it is know about it, and get it more into the BIG SPORT catagory

I would say yay only if they judged on the merit of style rather than difficulty of the trick. I also think that we deserve a shot is snowboarding got in. If anyone has the Photo Issue of Freeskier from last year you can read up on the topic.

That is a huge YAYA!

I mean if all this bs about "the flying tomato" and snowboarding halfpipe actually being an Olympic Caliber sport, then why the fuck should skiing not be included? Skiing has been around for about 500 years before snowboarding, and the world is supposed to just ignore the progression of skiing, and just give it to snowboarding to rep every country? I think its total bullshit that skiing halfpipe AND slopestyle did'nt make it in the Olympics before snowboarding. It really all biols down to marketing dollars, ratings, and Olympic Commitee politics. PUT IT IN GOR GOD's SAKE!
