Olympic Halfpipe Skiiing (Make it Happen)

it should be required that when new mebers join the site that they have to sign it. The only event that had good rateings in the olympics was halfpipe for the snowboarders

Did not sign. I'm not sure we need the Olympics. I know it didn't drastically change snowboarding, but I'd rather have the X-Games be the big event in freeskiing than having everyone sponsored by Chevy, Coke, and Tampax.

yeh so they def will make it happen just as they did with snowboarding. That only to make the olympics more exciting.

But i didnt sign it tho. Like some people already said; stick to x games

i signed... sum kid earlier had a good question... is the site just doin this for the hell of it or if the get a good amout of signatures are they acutally gonna present it

I'm wondering too if I should sign it

isn't it a bad thing that the FIS gets involved in that?

keep us out of the olympics! keep skiing how it is. think of the hate our grandchildren will experience when they discover NS and all the faggots who are on it who picked up freeskiing from watching the Halfpipe

I think that it should defently have skiing in the olimpicks because skiers go twice as big as border but hey i sighned it.

I signed. I'm tired of the people who want to keep our sport "core". What do you mean keep our pro's poor and watch our local hills be torn up as the majority of riders will become snowboarders. We need exposure so when the ten year old kids that will be our sport in ten years, are sitting in their living rooms with there moms and dads see Tanner Hall throwing down in the pipe they will say: "Mommy, Daddy? Can I get some twin tip skis and be like him?" Our sport needs a future and LINE is really great for getting the word out.

I couldnt agree with you more, butim going to sign it because i think...know that skiing should get more press then snowboarding

arent the 2010 olympics in whistler am i the first one to notice that? but yeah i signed it

i want skiing in the olympics only for the sake of watching the snowboarders look gay and having people say that freestyle skiing is suprisingly alot cooler than snowboarding.

By 'no one watched it' are you referring to the millions of undereducated trash that would rather watch amateur singers and dancers than world class atheletes that spent their entire lives practicing for their sport's highest moment? Give me a break, just because more moron white trash decided to stay on the couch and watch a has-been singer, a fat wanna-be rapper and an angry gay Englishman rip the William Hungs of the world does not mean that the Olympics were a flop, or that Dancing with the stars or American Idol were more quality programming. It's sad that Americans wont support their countrymen and women competeing at the pinnacle of international competition. I dont care if it's curling or Giant Slalom the Olympics were a resounding success around the globe. The embarrasing thing is that if it doesnt involve shit blowing up, or a knock-down drag out fight on Springer, Americans won't watch it. A recent Powder Magazine article showcased the first FIS halfpipe competition in Europe this year. The French even have a team formed. It noted that the competition was the first step towards an Olympic event. However there are fears that it will get over-regulated similar to how anal moguls air scoring has been. Next stop Vancouver, the sport needs it, the Olympics need it, and God knows NBC needs more cheezey sob-story lines to fill up their hours of broadcasts instead of acutally showing the entire event, no matter what it was, as was seen in this past Olympics.

haha true. Tanner Hall: "4 years ago i did chads gap. I did not have enough speed, and i did not, *sniff* make the landing, *sniff*. All i can remember is yelling "My ankles is broke, IM so lucky to nave my anks on. *sniff*

Signed.

However, I know that it will be an event plagued by shitty judging, Olympic analness, and more 10s than you can shake a stick at. Not to mention team uniforms, and the slight problem that they won't be big enough for Tanner or Dumont.
