was anyone appaled about the representation of the skiing half pipe and rail jam? First of all, they put it on a suck ass night. Womens pipe? what a joke. skiing belongs on the same night as sb pipe. Also, they only showed about 4 atheletes. OLN is a complete joke. They only showed that Tim guy cuz he had a background story. He was sick tho. Id have liked to see Jp. Soldberg in the pipe and sammy carlson in the jam but oln sucks so, no dice.

i def agree, their coverage was shit, a 45min jam turned into 5minutes of one guy, and all the camera angle switching confused the crap out of me

i hated the coverage of hte gravity games. they would cut in and out of peoples runs. for the rail jam they only showed russel 450 disaster the box. it was shitty

mainstream media will never get it right, if their coverage is viewed from the inside of the sport, or the core of the community being covered. it just goes to show that they really dont know what they are doing, and that if they cant get a ski event correct, just think of how bad they manage to mess up our national "news"

yea i was watching a tv thing one the halfpipe comp in pc a while back when jon won. but they showed about 15 minutes of snowboarding to 5 minutes skiing. it sucked he cock

Womens pipe on for an hour before mens ski pipe. Not very cool. But I watched it all.

They do their "actiumentary" or what not. Its supposed to make event coverage seem like a movie/documentary, hence the camera angle switching, short interviews put into the run, and commentary from skiers, and the event announcer.

OLN is a crappy station to begin with, It was well covered by ESPN, ABC, And every event was live on EXPN, So why are you watching that god forsaken station anyways.

 
^ because the station covers the gravity games....which contains skiing... and quite frankly, more people on here would prefer to watch shitty coverage of skiing than good coverage of anything else

seriosuly why r u guys bitching, we should be happy its even on tv. we have no reason to complain, cuz our sport isnt at the level of alot other extreme sports. this is just another step in the right direction for skiing. i was so stoked it was on. crappy covered skiing is better than no skiing at all
