Is there any people like me on new schoolers?If you:

Would rather Ski Powder than park

Own one (maybe two) pairs of goggles

Don't give a shit about Saga or Jiberish or First Drop because you'll be wearing the same shit you wore last year

Have a job

Aren't worried about what new skis to buy because your ones from last year aren't totally destroyed yet

Wear clothes that fit, and don't get why anyone would wear a tall tee

Look at some of the other threads on here and shake your head in disgust

Are there any skiers like this left out here or what, or do I just need to buy some park skis and a tall tee and get with the program?

 
Theres plenty of people on here that you described, but newschool isn't a term meaning all park skiing, its just the style of skiing and shit
 


I would rather ski park over powder because im on the east coast. but if we have a powder day im not in the park at all

My skis are fucked I definitely need new ones

yeah Im with ya. My skis are trashed but I filled them in lol. And Im from the east and never ski park at all. Im always in the woods or something. I don't give a shit what the snow is. Pow just makes the landing easier. Ice makes it harder. fuck east coast kids who go "oh im from the east so all I can do is park" well get used to not being in pow. yeah I know /rant
 
It's really the shitty attitude that's the icing on the cake. I often times wonder where skiing is heading... It's good to know that MrPantyDropper is out there, Keeping it Real
 
im a 27 year old that is a full time student and i have a full time job. would rather ride pow than park mostly bc i need to be able to work the next day. I wear tall tees on occasion but the style doesnt define me. I dont see how anyone can hate on the style. its part of the evolution of the sport. i fall in between old and nser i guess..... for all of us with responsibilities out there...... Go hard middle schoolers....go hard
 
^^ I don't think I would say the clothes people wear is part of the evolution of the sport. Evolution on fashion maybe. But big +k for Middle Schoolers. Very nice. Me Gusta

you clearly suck at skiing if you dont wear xxxxxl outerwear with hella hoodies and tee shirts under it. To be a good skier you must look like henrick harlaout or whatever. otherwise your gay and should stick to deer vally

i would rather ski deep pow than park, but i live in CNY and have never had more than a foot of fresh at one time. plus my mountain isn't steep enough.

i own one pair of good goggles, a bunch of other older ones from when i was younger.

i have a 1 jiberish hoodie, 1 saga hoodie, and a pair of saga pants because i got them 50% off brand new. you can't argue $107 20k waterproofed shit.

i'm 15, but i do work a bit in the summer.

the last two pairs of skis i bought were used and total less than $300 together

there is no point for you to be in this thread! btw i agree i am 16 and do not have a job wished i did have a job. applied at like 8 golf course. but thats about it. i own one pair of jiberish and i wear it around town and it isnt big or thug! i hate the kids who rock huge tees around town or crews or weird shit that should stay on the mountain. usually the kids who wear huge ski shit around town suck nuts! its 2 to every ten that are actually good! or better yet know how to enjoy skiing for you and only you.
 
If you're 15, 16, maybe even 17 and don't have a job, I don't give a shit. Live it up while you can. I'm talking about the trustafundians here, not the sweet little child-run
 
Yup 80 percent of multiple jiberish owners suck dick at skiing. I spend more money on my skis than my clothes. Yea fuck you jiberish 85 bucks for 20 bucks worth of fabric and chinese labor.

Look I ride mostly park and I love my baggy outerwear, yet I own 1 pair of goggles and and I get new skis when I need new skis. Also I have a job. If you don't like it create your own homepage.

I mean I agree with you and I fit your description in the OP, but what you're doing is almost like conforming to non-conformity. You don't have to take pride in not being like everybody else, you just do it. Otherwise it is just as bad.
 
Actually I dont give a fuck either way cause i dont fit that description perfectly considering i just gave myself a 21st birthday present which are Pillowfights...i have plenty of other skis to use, but i wanted some bad ass skis and had money to blow.I just really think the whole gangster thing is the wackest thing going on in sports and is an embarassment to the sport I love.
 
agree with this so much. bumps, woods, cruising some groomers... if you can do it well on the east, you are a true skier.
 
Retards at the Ski Hill. As in the people who poach my crew's backcountry jumps. As in the wigger attitude little pricks you're bound to see everyday. There are undoubtedly some of these types on NS, but not meant as a personal attack toward anybody. Sorry if it came out that way.
 
Haha that's a very worthy 21st birthday present. I mean if I lived in a snowy place I would definitely be getting myself some gifts like that and would not own just one ski. But I agree with you about the gangster stuff, it is stupid, and it is an embarassment. I basically agree with everything about your posts, I don't ski park at all and I live in Maryland/ski in Pennsylvania. But I've also progressed way more skiing the moguls at my local mountain than I ever will skiing park...
 
you can only cruise groomers for so long before that shit gets so repetitive you wan't to kill yourself. my mountain doesn't have "trees." their "glades" are smaller in terms of area than my house, and there is one trail with moguls on it. can you see why we choose park? it takes me 5 minutes to make it up the hill on the non-high speed chairlift and less than a minute to make it down a groomer. no, this isn't an exaggeration. park is the part about skiing the east that doesn't become repetitive.
 
You say you don't care about your outerwear, then why do you do it on others? It doesn't make any sense, you're just looking for attention and I believe you're the only "retard" on here (very clever btw...). To the other guy who said that 2 out of 10 people who wear jibberisch suck at skiing - if you were serious, grow the fuck up.

i look at some threads in disgust but thats a broad statement

maybe if i was born 5-10 years earlier i'd be like you. but im not, so i guess i just do what i do and get mixed in with the newschoolers crowd anyways.

Stupid question. Most parks are un skiable on a powder day. Powder isn't there everyday either. Especially in the east.
Own 2 pairs, soon to be 3. My cbars have 4 lens options tho.

I have a job. 18$/hr digging holes for hydro poles for new subdivisons. Pays for anything a hs kid would need.
I ride my skis till they die. Plus i already buy skis from cheaper brands like coreupt.com, so it's not a big deal to replace.
Tall-t's set me apart from the avergae person on the mountain. Its not all about it, but how you wear it. My style of riding looks good with a tall-t. I see so many park riders, who are amazing, but tall=ts just don't suit em. Plus i ski in QBC, everyone is very style concience.
Don't get it. You honestly don't post enough, to say that. I love everything on this site. Even the stupidest threads end up making me laugh cause of some funny member. eg* "that movie was great"
yah get of your turning skis, even if you don't ski park you will have more fun. Skiing backwards is great. My paps even does it.

I do wear big clothes i also get it for cheap on cheap websites for example i get cheap sessions pants and a special blend jacket

very kindly Tom Walish sold me his Red Sweet Jacket

and LJ sold me his Red and black FD pants for super cheap

i have really old suspectes 10 cm to short and the edge is coming off

people are so stereotypical about a newschooler not all kids are like your description

 
no. im just a poor skiir. i have no job. one pair of crap goggles becaus ethats all i can afford. i wear body glove outer wear. i dont wear tall tees because i do not own any. i need new skiis because i am growing. i am poor. i am too young for any one to hire
