Old pivot

I found some old pivots that I accidentally bought after asking half the asking price on eBay.

Got these for $70 shipped

I think I came to the conclusion they are 2009/10 season because the shield on the heelpiece. just wondering if they last this long and if you think they are better than having attack 11s that I already have, and the fact that they are double the price.

I would run em. The only Pivot, formerly FKS that I would watch out for is the one that had the plastic 1/2 moon on the heel piece which would break. That was a good 10 years earlier than the pair you got.
 
Attack 11's are basically a Jr binding so yes, vastly better. You got a stellar deal on those for 70 bucks, they'll last forever for ya.
 
i mean they're probably fine. prob better than attack 11s which as said are kinda junior bindings (diff construction etc than 12s and up)

the shop might not work on them though so you'll need to figure that part out
 
How long would you say older 15/18s are good for (and even older 12s)? I’ve always kind of gone of the 7 - 10 year rule (I know there’s the indemnified list) but it seems like a lot of people are rocking some old pivots.

So have I just got it wrong?

Yes that's what I was thinking I think I'm going to mount them myself because I got some moment skis for $40 on local sale and it's just gonna be a beater ski. Not worth it to pay a shop I guess.

Do you have all of the screws for those? I have a set of just toes of that year, and they take different mounting screws for the toe pieces. I tried to get the mounted once but didn’t have the screws and they were going to be wicked expensive/difficult to get

I'm praying I do have all of them lol, It looks like half of them are in the heel piece and some are in the toe piece the rest are on the ground in the picture

otherwise idk what happens

Guess I'll find out when I get them

Damn after looking closely it's gonna be close

There are 9 on the floor then 4 missing in the heels and 3 missing in the toe pieces and I assume there are more missing

It looks like at least some of them are there, they have a thicker head and I’m pretty sure you need 2 for each toe piece

The ones for the heel pieces and half of the ones for the toes are all normal, only the ones on the front of the toes are weird. I have 3 that I would be happy to hook you up with if it doesn’t work out!

I think I counted 15 screws which I think I need 16 or 14

Just can't tell if u need 3 or 4 screws for each toe piece

That'd be nice I'll buy em from you if I don't have them all

4 screws for the toes. Hmu if you need them!

Just go to a ski shop and ask them to order a set of pivot screws. Will be nice not having to use whatever old stripped and wood glue coated 13 year old screws you have.
 
I got them today and they are 130 brakes came with all the screws

gonna have to resell them sucks because it specifically asked me to ask questions and I did and gave the person 3 hours to respond and then i offered 60$ and they accepted without answering

it said vintage so i assumed it was 75 or 90 (it looked like 90)although the brakes look brand new
