your knees though

Crank that din up boy, knees are already done

no but seriously I don’t plan on doing anything freeride oriented, its just i have an old set of skis lyin around that need some bindings

Is that an old front binding and new rear binding? The rear looks the same as the new pivots. If thats an old rear binding im shocked that look made that technology that long ago.

Heel hasn’t really changed since the mid 80s and the basic design has been the same since day 1 in the 60s

Yeah the heel piece was found on the ski as well, terrible picture but I’ll put another one just of the heel when I get the chance

I know many ski shops wont mount bindings that old for liability issues. Maybe a hole in the wall shop might. But even if they are willing they might not have the jig/layout for the binding.

My guess is your gonna have to mount yourself... Maybe you are an expert and that was your plan all along haha...

I know there is a website out there where they have paper jigs you can print out, might be worth looking into that.

Good luck dude!

I was honestly gonna do that with this thread haha, saying these were the 2019’s but people don’t always know how to take a joke so

Yeah figured that, so I’m gonna mount them myself here in a bit but on of the screws were stripped so I have to use an ez-out or something to get it out, cheers pal

tbh these are so ill. I have a similar pair but the little adjustor barrels on the heels are stripped out so I have misgivings about how safe they are.

Yeah kinda wondering the same lol

I've skied that generation of FKS (heal piece identical and toe a bit different). They're not that old. 90's bindings. Worked great until the din adjustment rusted and wouldn't budge then the toe piece blew out.

Damn, heel pieces look solid as fuck imo. Should be dope for a gaper day setup. I've mounted sketchier on my skis haha

hold onto them for like 10 more years and flip em 200x as antique bindings when were living in 2028 with Rossignol Artificial-Intelligence-embedded Quantum-core bindings

Fuck yeah dude, sounds like a sick project! you'll have to post a picture once you get them on.

So sick! The the old plastic "half moon-plates" (right behind the brake pedal-thingy) seem to hold up way better than the new metal ones from what I have experienced.

Bindings that are like fucking magnets so you can pretty much go into ssx tricky mode

unless your skiing 90's skis, or have 2 extra fks brakes, the brakes on those won't be wide enough. dope find tho
