Old is cool

You know you are an old guy (age) (at NS when):

Your body keeps hurting the day after you try to learn a new trick (and keep falling).

When you actually prefer nice red wine over Read bull and vodka.

When financial crises and politics seams cooler than tall T’s

When you actually had a skis that was from before the hole carving thing

When you were 17 (for me in 1992) you rocked a nice one piece suit with coloured knees.

When you started a daffy or a spread eagle was the coolest tricks around.

Com on boys I know you are out there put some posts up

Hey man, props on being older (than most new school skiers) , you're 34? and still going for it. Sounds like you were definitely a true hot dogger. Two Montana skiers from your generation that I really look up to are Mickey Price and Tony Gilpin.

When you can spell?
What's this "Read Bull" you speak of? Does it keep you up at night so you can finish a novel?
And I'm really curious about the "hole carving" skis......
I'm just messin' with ya, it was too hard to resist.

Haha my dad is 49 and still reps. it. He tries to throw down but I am really worried he is going to hurt himself soon. He is trying to keep up with my sister 15yrs who will be on the US ski team any day now for freestyle and me 21 who is killing the BIg Mountain....poor dad

I remember when I used to watch "Extreme ski movies" with the Egan brothers, Schmitt and others.

3's were called "Hellies"

Skiiers weren't allowed in the "snowboard jump parks."

Keeping your skis perfectly next to each other and touching was "good form."

Hucking off Tucks' headwall was Extreme and totally badass.

Kids AND adults look at me weird while I sport my Saga suit with a Grizzly Adams beard.

Now I prefer a good heavy dark beer over redbull-vodka.

being young... 16... i love the fealing of knowing u can destroy ur body today and tommra youll be fine to hit the slopes again

Take advantage of that! Now that I am 20 things are starting to hurt a little more. Not super bad but definitely more noticable than when I was 16

I completely agree with you. I'm only 21 but I get sore after falling a couple times trying new shit. Back in the day things were a lot easier, i miss wrecking myself then waking up the next day and doing it all again. Now I need recoup time loool

I can remember learning daffies and helis. I owned straight skis. Went to my first wine tasting last year. I was only 11 in 92 though. I did graduate HS before the turn of the century though.

Not just skiing hurts, pound the skate park on rollerblades for a day and you'll feel that shit all week.

nr 1: Yes i spell like a drunk. But im from scandinavia.

To the quote, well this a positive thread - good skiers age like fine wine. we become more fragile, but gain power and "karma"
