Old GE buildings are peaking my curosity

Some of you may know or not know, but pittsfield (the city i live in) in massachusetts was headquarters to all of General Electric. They left in the early 90's leaving behind acres of massive buildings. me and my friends have always wondered whats inside of them. some of them are futuristic office building with the big grand entrances but they're all run down. its kinda creepy. sometime soon we're thinking of sneaking in and taking a look.

basically one side is all laboratories and office buildings, then the middle is just absolutely gigantic assembly warehouses then at the end are some more office buildings and electrical generators and big storage warehouses. there are about 10 or 20 railroads going threw the complex.

I used to live in west Virginia and theres a mine there that has been shut down for 20 years and there is still armed guards, guarding it 24/7 pretty weird if you ask me.

YEAH GO EXPLORAAAAATION!!!!! The easiest way to get around a place like that is a bike. Or use a scooter cause its more mobile. Actually, bring a skate board and do some 100 foot gaps!!! YEAH!!!!!!!

yer from shitsfield? damn im from adams, but im at school in boston. i worked at general dynamics last summer. really the last of the working buildings. they started to rip alot of that old shit down. In adams we have an old hospitol that closed in like the 70s or something. alot of people have been in there, real creepy, and now i guess their redoing it into condos. it would take a real crazy fucker to live in a condo in an old hospitol, mad ghosts prolly. so many people die in hospitals. its so creepy looking sits up on top of a hill.

me and my girl got in the old berthoud pass base lodge(it closed in 2001 i think) but it was really weird, because you could tell that people had been living in there. it was kinda like the shining, i was expecting to walk into one room and see some dead person or something on the floor, but that never happened. exploring old buildings is weird but fun

I love urban exploring!

Near where I live there is an old Christian College that got closed down about ten years ago. Me and a couple of my buddies thoroughly explored the campus. They had some cool shit to find and smash up in the buildings. We even found tape recording of bible passages for that college radio station. We also found a box of coffee mugs. Nice souvenir, its on my desk right now.

There also used to be a huge abandoned insane asylum just up the road from my high school. That place was really creepy. Most of the complex was actually underground. It was one of those places where you always felt like you were being watched. It sucks now because they bulldozed it to put up a shopping complex.

Also, have any of you guys been to the old abandoned St. Augustine monastery in Staten Island, New York? I’ve herd that place is really creepy.

actually they sit in a little island between the traffic across from friendlys (sometimes in front though) and sometimes it looks like theyre on acid or ectasy because they run around and sit and circles and do weird shit.

we got a lot of those abandoned buildings here, cuz when communists were driven out of the country many big factories went bancrupt and shit. It's not a biggie to go and eplore, becasue most of the stuff's stolen already.

also...in Plattsburgh NY there used to be a huge airbase, which is abandoned now. They are trying to make things out of it, but there are still oads of unused buldings. there's an old hospital from wwaaaaay back before the base was there and supposedly it's haunted. No joke, my best friend saw the light switch go on and off, while he was in one of the rooms. Scary shit
