Okemos Parks ... Reply to this !!

when i went up, i loved the rails, those are above most of the other setups in the east, but im gonna echo what everyone else has said. The jumps suck. while i dont mind 4 or five stepdowns, either make the takeoff long and steep so you go up rather than out, or shorter and not so steep with less lip. every one i hit felt like it

a)needed to be 15-20 feet longer

b)needed to be groomed

c)needed to have the quarterpipe of a lip fixed

d)all of the above

or

e) needed a lip in the first place.

fix the kickers, and it might be best in the east. the rails rival stratton, and the flow of the setup this year is good.

bigger kickers that are well maintained would make it almost unbeatable.

it never has a lip in front of it....take 5 mins to make either a little lip or at least a gradual incline to the box so that we dotn hit the front coping which is sticky as what

a good jump gives you a floaty feeling in the air, okemo has none of these. Not too poppy but gradually getting steep and steeper enough to throw you up high and a steep landing to match the take off.

i was just at okemo today and the park was really sick. I liked the swing set rainbow rail and most of the other rails. a few jumps need some work but thats all. The new stairset by the pipe is sick as well. keep up the good work okemo!!!

yeah, i was there today too and it's pretty good considering the weather the east coast has had to work with. it seems that all the jumps on nor easter seemed to either be step ups or stepdowns though, and there were some death cookies in the park but it's all good i guess.

exactly, could you build a table?

liek have the lip built into the mound of snow that is the table like at breck or mammoth

i mean i realize its hard to get that much snow, especially with the shitty weather, but i feel like you could prolly combine two jumps or something, blow snow on it every night/all day, and then maybe build one this way....please?
