I was just p at okemo and they got at least 10 new rails. They got a new a-frame, a new s-rail thats at least 40 that looks really good (compared to last years s that was a real s and was really sketchy), a small coaster that looks good, a flat rail that goes down and has kick on the end, 5 new flat rails of different sizes, and a few new rainbows of various sizes, this year should be really good there if they can get their shit together with jumps cause u kno the pipes gonna be sick

 
ive been to okemo once in the spring. the norester park was ok, but the pipe was off the hook

the old s rail and the hip we're the coolest featues i think at okemo last year, super challenging and freaking huge, that jumps booosts

ps : this isn;t counting the pipe

 
yea the hip was sick, most of the otehr jumps sucked except for the 50 footer in middle of the park at the end of the year, the new s-rail is so much better than the old one though, much smoother, bigger piping for the rail, and boards under it so u dont get caught like last year, the s-rail last year took me at least a hundred tries to do the whole thing

 
I really liked the rollercoaster rail last year too.

the big pipe right next to the lodge is incredible. i hit okemo twice mid season last year, god that place rocks. great for non-park skiing too, love their tree runs.

ya, i was one of those people who flew over the back of it, my dumbass did it a couple times actually, dropping like 25 ft outta the sky completely folding in half upon impact and almost killing a couple little kids playing behind it...goodtimes, they need a nice long one with a real deck...sunapee's is nice even though it's like 13 ft tall

sunapee is stepping it up too. they cut a new trail JUST for their new super pipe. plus their park will flow from a design...not just throwing random stuff in here or there when they feel like it.

Ya okemo is sick.... However i wish the pipe was longer i can only get like 3 hits in at most unless i go small. The sobe pipe however is always sooo nice heh, however that pipe on bullrun i hate it... You can never get the speed to go big in it. The hip jump i hope they keep because that thing is sick.... I love how its right at the end so everyone can see you go nuts on it. But i hope they can get the park to flow better then they did last year, it was kinda choppy in parts.

 
i'd agree with you there. kinda hard to cross the trail like 10 times to get the right hits.....

josh you crashed on just about every element on the mountain. drew is just plain a crazy fucker when it comes to the sobe pipe. drew mr i'm going to go as fast into the pipe as i possibly can and throw a cork 9, with my eyes closed mind you, then somehow manage to land it correctly.

the park had shit for flow last year the jumps were randomly placed, hopefully theyll change that this year and put more rails in noreaster, all they had was the short flat, s, and coaster, and the pipe by the bottom lodge sucked

 
Well one time I opened my eyes to spot my landing for my 9 and i was looking at the sky....and i thought i was gonna die then i somehow rotated another 3 and landed a backseat 12 heh. Oh well at least i didn't die !!

 
okemos park beats the shit out of killingtons park i doubt they will have a 40 foot rainbow open all year probaly for comps or sumthin

it sucks pretty bad until decmeber, then they get their shit to gether and everything is in, usually early season they have a few real small jumps and a couple rails scattered all over the mountain, for early season go to killington, when okemo gets everything open and up then go there

 
Yup, the East Coast Freeskiing Open is Legit! You heard it from MC first. As for the rest of the info, Okemo opens Nov 8 and we definately have more rails and a new park on Tomahawk. EC Freeskiing Open will be off the Hook!

hopefully itll be slopestyle, they never have any slopestyle comps at okemo, always just like one big air comp and a few pipe comps, its lookin like it will be the best its been in a few years

 
I hope all this okemo hype works out, its a sick mountain i've been skiing there since i was little, if all works out like i hope it will okemo will become huge on the east coast
