Okemo opens this weekend! so does anyone know if they are going to have any rails set-up? i was up at mt snow sunday this weekend and it was alot of fun great coverage everywhere for this early in the season. So my question is should i spend the 39 bucks at mt snow, or just use my season pass and go to okemo, or do one saturday and one sunday?

odds are high okemo will have a set up that doesnt even come close to what mt snow has. if i were you i'd hit up okemo saturday and snow sunday if okemo sucks.

im planning on going to okemo friday saturday sunday unless nothing is set up then ill be going to snow. let me know if your heading up we can ride together im going up with a few kids

do u give out freebies?

and to the okemo vs. mt snow thing, its been a lot warmer these pasts couple days than it was last week when mt snow made a lot of their snow, so i'm not sure if that hindered okemo from making as much snow as they might have wanted but idk for sure. anyways i would hit up mt snow, u can always call okemo on thursday/friday

I called Okemo yesterday and they said they'll have a rail and a box set up maybe more but they werent quite sure yet

Okemo probably won't be as good as Mt. Snow, but I know that's where I'm gonna be- it's cheaper (for me) and closer.

from what killys website says, theyre going to have rails and boxes up on reason. thats all i know

last year opening day okemo had a 10 foot rail and a 10 foot box. it was reall lame compared to other mtns. mt snow has a full rail park with LEGIT sized features. Ill be skiing at okemo this weekend because i cant afford any more lift tickets.

i guess ill be hoping for a somewhat long flat rail and some kind of box. (at best)

i wish okemo was as motivated as other mountain with their preseason parks.

yeah if they had that ~30ft flat stock out idk be pretty happy, but something tells me its not going to be, hmm i really hope i have boots for this weekend

"I spoke to our Parks & Pipes head yesterday and he promises a few boxes and/or rails on opening day -and building from there. But, he could not confirm which trail they'll be on. Stay tuned..."

straight from the okemo site...

soem kid from okemo told me he would be posting tommorrow what they have set up cuz he works in the park i guess. so ill wait to hear from him then decide snow seemed like they had a fun set up but i would much rather go to okemo cuz i have a pass there

mount snow man, there are already pictures and vids posted on the forum of their set up and some kids riding it and they are dope for this early in the season. okemo has a decent park mid winter but snows is very impressive for the east coast. i wouldnt count on okemo for having anything to stellar up yet

it sounds like okemo doesnt know really what they'l have for park stuff this weekend, so u might wanna consider mt snow or killy if u want more then 2/4 features.

mt snow does have the nice jump, where killy says they'l have one but in the past its only been like 15-20 ft at the most. both have rails and such, prolly very similar. its hard to tell where to go cause no1's been anywhere besides mt snow so. i would say chill till sunday and just read reviews of place from sat and make a decision from there.

yeah that sounds like a good idea. ill proby go to okemo friday i dont have class so ill head up there cuz im getting my pass there then ill see what they have and let everyone know and if its no good ill be at snow saturday and sunday

"Today we are putting up some features on Sapphire. Some pretty mellow set ups to get everyone started. Starting off with a flat box, flat rail, rainbow box, short down rail, two short boxes set up as flat down and maybe a barrel jib"

thats the word on the street.

it rained all day and now its snowing/drizzling outside. 1-3 inches of snow overnight. should be fun.

is okemo going to either south ridge lifts open to take you to the northstar quad, cause last year i think you had to hike

mtsnow has these long metal poles in the middle of the green trail, its not fun! I like the jumpers that you can get air off though!!

okemo should have a good setup and mount snow has alot setup

u should do both one saturday then sunday

mount snow. i was at okemo today it had good coverage but the chair to get to there set up was "closed" so you couldnt do anything def. going to snow tomorrow

yep i was kinda bummed out today.

sapphire (the trail with the rails on it) should be open tomarrow tho. but i still reccomend going to mt snow. their setup was reallll fun
