Okemo-Rail Jam-11/26

im not really sure what got you in the finals, not sliding the whole rail seemed to work well, falling was good, on the note of who should have won, maney did 450 but sketched out hardcore, holson did blindside switch maybe three times clean, overall impression jam, holson wins. end of story.

It does sound like the judging was bad....Blindswitchup 3 times sounds good to me...

okemos judging BLOWS... they knew nothing about skiing. if you go to OMS or you are part of any program at okemo you will win or at least make it to finals regardless if you fall or not... otherwise dont even go.

the selections for the finals was complete bullshit. even tho i was in the finals i still think at least 4 or 5 other kids shoulda been in the finals also.

the bottom line is that if you arnt envoled in OMS or or the judges dont know who you are personally dont even bother showing up.

that is my rant.
 
Was there different divisions for the contest like pro and am? I was thinking of going to some Okemo contests, but I'm pretty young and it sounds like it blows anyway

You people are classic. Can you name one comp where the jusging was good? If you, your brother and your gay lover don't make the finals you seem to think the judging sucks. That is all. You can continue crying yourself to sleep.

you my friend are my hero. I got so jipped, i didn't even place in the top 3. I got beat by this kid who was pretty damn sick, and this kid that didn't even get the whole box thing. Ya, so I got into the finals and there were only 3 people in my age group there, so i had a definate top 3 win, and then thsi kid thaI got the first place prize and the second place prize, i wasn't even mentioned. I was so jipped. But ya, many was nuts, that was such a sick 450 disaster.
 
tru dat homie, no one else landed a trick more than once, there was no way you shouldn't have won the overall, but props anyways on winning in my mind.

The judgeing wasnt the problem its the way they choose who made it to the finals or not. Rest assured we complained and told the powers that be that it wasnt fair the way they worked it. I thought everything went pretty well , a step in the right direction for Okemo. Sorry to the kids that got the short end ... As far as rummors on what we are gonna build for new features well ... a stair case is definitly gonna happen and a few other boxes and rails . The rails from the open last year will be in the mix for sure. Cant say what park they will be in but they will be out there.

Nothing is ever good enough for everybody , if there wasnt things to complain about I dont know what 99% of the world would do with their time . Have fun with what you got . And for you guys that want to bitch about how we set things up ... well the park crew are all snowboarders so we have little to no idea what is good for you skiers. I would like to hire a skier but no of you apply. We do what we can with what we got and feel privlged to have anything at all . Till next time , see ya on the hill ...
 
but again... it wasnt the setup at all.. it was the poor judging. there were a handfull of kids that shoulda made it in over others
