i posted this in the regionals but didnt get much response. how is the mountain. the parks seem sick and they seem to have a lot of snow for the northeast. im gonna be in a ski in ski out house so is there any urban right near the mtn? pics would be much appreciated. also are anyother mtns close to okemo?
 
feb is usually the best time to go. the park is prime but it is BY FAR the most crowded week of the season tho. you dont get too many runs because of the crowds.

theres a couple rails around the okemo area that weve found but i prefer to keep them secret!
 
they really need a seperate lift for the park. you get so few laps wiith crowds. even singles line gets crazy
 
Hahah on teh access road up to okemo, if you keep going past the base, there is this rail thats like 70 degrees straight down and turns twice i think and is wooden. If anybody ever hit it, I would be very impressed. Try it!
 
i know right, the park sucks, DUH, worst pipe on the east, a toolbag crew of skiiers that ski there, stupid idea bro!
 
sorry to break it to ya. okemos park is better than those mtns. strattons only good around the time of VT open and killy is icy and not kept up too well.
 
okemo owns both killington and stratton, next year okemo will have the best park in vermont, im claimin it.
 
i wanna watch that badly but it didnt work on my computer. damn.

well i hope okemp has a good park next year. they seem to have a lot of good jibs but everyone says the jumps are bad. im proabably not gonna be hitting anything over 40ish. but it all depends on how much i progress before then. and i hear the pipe is always good just about and thats something i wanna work on becuase i didnt get much of a chance this past season
 
okemo's jumps are really the only thing they need to improve, but they have been gettting better each year. the pipe is always best on the east coast
 
get it to work, it's worth it. it's okemo's park and pipe allllllll season long. bout 25 minutes long too. peep it if you can.
 
aghh killy si played...i would def. take okemo over killy..i skied killy all year its pretty weak...a few good jibs
 
^ word to connor, killy's park sucks, no flow, theres a rail park, with a rail, then another rail 100 feet away, then an elbow box, then a huge icey hill down a trail, for about say 700 yards, then another park that is a small jump, then around a corner and a roller like jump, then nothing until u have a hip with a flat landing, and then nothing for a long while then another decnet jump. Killy's park sucks. no flow, shitty landings, all the good rails are never setup, cause the park manager likes the elbow box to much. But okemo is dope!
 
^word to that. and last year it was attitash which was fun but didnt have a park becuase it was christmas break. id be glad to go anywhere that has a park. last year i went to shaewnee peak in maine which kinda sucked but was fun and they had a 70 ft rail which i finally got the lst hour i was there.
 
i figured it out anc watched chickens and waffles. its wicked sick. good job to all involved with the video.
 
yeah true but whatever the park on the other side is was ok this year. and theres like never a line for that one
 
it sucks getting up to the actual skiing. so much walking and lifts. but if your in a ski in/ out house you should be fine. i have a house 5 miles from Okemo and i love it up there.
 
i thought it was a ski in ski out house, but now i figured out its the jackson gore in so how is that? and how close?
 
That whole crew of "gangstahs" at Okemo are a bunch of faggy toolbelts. Stay away from them, they'll make fun of your style and then bust a kang over a 50 footer.

Anyways, it's all been said....park is in the best condition of the year during that week, but it's so insanely busy. Go anyways.

just my two cents - okemo's parks suck so bad that i skied them about a hundred days last season. and i hated them so much, i moved to a place that sucks even more - jackson hole! woooo!

just fyi - okemo is starting to put a ton of focus on the parks, especially towards skiers. if, during the season, there's anything you want to see, any comments you have, etc., email them at info@okemo.com, or PM me, and i can forward it on to the right people - they're very receptive to suggestions...
 
i got chickens and waffles to work.i snowboard though so is the parks gonna be more ski oriented? it probably wont make that much of a difference though. okemos parks look pretty sick to me, some people love it some hate it.
 
ph yeah and i dont think you can say jackson hole and "suck in the same sentence. but im guessing that was sarcasm...
 
they're trying to keep skiers and boarders happy - there isn't really that big a distinction between what's a good park for skiers or snowboarders anyway...
