Okemo going Orange

Damn I bet thats so nice on the east coast, Canyons has one of these lifts and I just feel like I get hot on it haha but its only like 20 or 30 in Utah usually. If it was like -10 the heated lift would probably keep you on the hill for an extra hour or two.

Mount Snows has been so nice. they are definitely a smart investment to keep people on the slopes in less than stellar weather conditions.

yeah i was thinking, i run hot, i bet i'd just be too warm on those a lot of times. bowling it would be pretty hilarious though, and on cold days it'd be awesome. okemo gets cold from what i remember, but then last time i was there i was a kid and kids are pussies

I can't say officially, but there was a proposition to expand the parks. I don't have all the details, but if they follow through it could put Okemo back on the map for east coast park skiing.

Well that sounds sick dude. I feel like this lift is also gonna make the main nor'easter park much more fun to lap since it won't be as cold to get back up there.

The real news here is that Mount Sunapee is finally replacing their Sunbowl quad with an express lift!

Sad sad day. RIP Northstar Express Quad :(

On the bright side, might help the massive lift line move faster = more Noreaster laps

fortunately we don't have the ones with the heated seats but theres nothing worse than getting on to solar coaster in the spring on blackcomb all sweaty from skiing a lap and having some fucking sightseer citiot insist on riding with the bubble down

Luckily no one skis Okemo in the spring. We closed with 90% of trails open and a full height halfpipe.

I'm beyond stoked on hearing this. Hopefully going orange will mean a new terrain park as well with some good features to hike as well

to answer this question OMS has taken over most of the parks now and they will be actually instructing the park crew what to make, as the park crew as of the last couple of years have sucked aids infested penis juice. but for the lift, its ok, smart thing todo with the lines and all but still having skied there every weekend for most of my life, okemo is still shit.

What's the point in spending money to heat seats? Gapers attraction only for a while till they all forget, like that one in PC

It's really helpful because it gets lower than -10 degrees Fahrenheit on the east coast sometimes. Also the wind chill is way colder than the temperature is generally, so it shields people from the cold when riding on the lifts.
