okay so i was up riding today and i saw the park crew working all day on what seemed to be a legit pretty sick jump looked about 60ish maybe and they had the flat of the table cut out. so its take off kicker gap and landing. is there an event going on for this or is this for the last weekend?
 
heard some rumor about a 4bi9 jump photo shoot or something, i dunno though, don't listen to me
 
shit thats sick im going to guess thats what it is cuz there no way they could open that to the public cuz a bunch of dumb kids would seriously get fucked up. kinda sucks though i want to hit the jump real badly it looks so nice. anyone have anymore information on this?
 
It's being built for the 1st annual "Spring Sessions @ Okemo" 75 foot gator gap...Transworld, POWDER, and a bunch of freelancers will be there shooting on April 9th & 10th. Spectators are more than welcome - we'll have a BBQ, DJ and/or some form of music going, and a bunch of invited skiers & riders tee-ing off on this thing. It should be pretty sick...55 foot of dead air, 75 foot from take-off to knuckle.
 
damn, that would be way sick to see, I'm gonna have to try and see if i can get a ride up there
 
ill be up there tomorrow checking out trying to see if there is any way i get get a chance to hit it haha the set up is super sick. ill be up in black oakley pants volkl walls and probly big grey sweatshirt since itll be super warm so if you get up there we casn ride
 
I dont understand why they would take it down???? This season has been by a long run the worst park season in the history of okemo, and taking down the only legit non pussy feature would be ridiculous to me.
 
No mountain would keep a feature like that open to the public. It's completely safe for someone that knows what they're doing; it's a complete liability when you let anyone and everyone hit the thing.
 
haha they would NEVER keep that up the lip was probly about twenty feet high and kids were sending it prolby get 70ft or air killing it rodeo sevens, nine it was sick to watch and i wold have loved to hit but that would be DEATH if they left it up for the public someone gets seriosuly fucked up
 
first of all, many mountains have features way more xtreme than that jump. second of all, PARK PASSES. if okemo would mandate the use of a park pass than retards wouldn't ruin shit. guess its too late now with the park as bad as it is. Sorry Okemo, but your park has gone to shit over the past 3 years.
 
yes it was a New Intel./ 4bi9 film shoot. it was only open on april 9th and 10th. apparently their just gonna kill it after todays session. prolly the best east coast jump ive ever hit/ filmed. pretty dope!

i understand why they would close it. ive never hit such a dangerous jump. you go like 35 ft above a death pit and theres a vertical wall just before the knuckle. also the takeoff alone is like 20 ft tall. if sombody comes up short (gayyypers) their not gonna be in good shape.

 
Nor'Easter and the pipe will be open till the end, no doubt...Nor'Easter probably has more snow right now than any other trail on the mountain. They always keep the pipe opent ill the end, but I don't know about the T-bar next to it.
