ok i just got my progress report and i failed english and my moms like no skiing this year and im not buying you bindings boots or threedom pass. im so fucking pissed off
 
How the hell do you fail english. You clearly SPEAK english. What's the problem here?

I could see maybe grade 11 or 12

but comeon dude.. you must not do shit all to fail a grade 9 class
 
yeah thats how it works ova hurrr. which is total bullshit if you ask me cause i pwn english but i dont give a shit about verb tenses and shit and i could still write better essays thatn my teacher (not joking, i can).
 
I still don't get how you could fail English, but it is only a progress report your mom shouldn't not buy you the bindings and stuff, I can see for a report card but not the progress report. She should just like ground you for a month or something, i mean she shouldn't take away something that is like two months away.

hahaha dude what you really need to do is ask your mom for a tutor because then you only need to sacrifice one night a week to school and your mom will be proud of you and she will let you ski!

problem 1) you're calling someone else a "dumb fuck" when you're clearly the dumb fuck here. how do you fail 9th grade english? are you just a lazy asshole who doesn't do his homework?

problem 2) you're complaining about how your parents won't buy you your equipment. MAN THE FUCK UP. i don't care if you're 14 or 45, if you can't take responsibility for stuff then you don't deserve compensation (whether that is money from work, or ski equipment for good grades).

i'm sick of whiny bitches coming on this site and complaining about stupid shit.

sounds like you are just a little bitch. You have two options. 1.) work hard and get your grades up, she will let you ski. 2.) Post your problems on Newschoolers and let everyone sympathize with you because your mommy won't buy you new skis.
 
She is obviously not going to stop you from skiing, she just wants to scare you into doing work, and then when you pass it on your report card, she will be like, "since you proved you can work hard, you can ski," and she will buy you your stuff. Is it seriously that hard to write a paper once a week?
 
dude just chill out. tell ur mom that even if u fail highschool u can bust ass first year of college at some community place, and then transfer to another school. or u could join the army and they pay for ur education.

but thats if u fail.

Can you actually work? Try to come to an agreement with your mum. You'll work hard and pass your English, and she'll buy you the shit.
 
how about this: USE YOUR OLD GEAR you dont need to buy new gear every year. I havent bought a new pair of skis in 4 years.

2.You better start working on your english...American english is pretty easy, I could pass it and english isnt my first language.

but yeah dude, seriously you kind of deserve it...if you dont pass all four years of english you cant graduate highschool. so if you dont get you shit together before the semester ends you arent gonna graduate unless you retake it.
 
dude you can not be failing classes your freshman year...how the fuck do u fail freshman English lol dont be stupid, dont be lazy. do your homework study and try to apply your self somewhat its only going to get harder as you get older
 
you may think most of the stuff you learn in high school is pointless, but wait a while and you'll be able to see that not all of it is a total waste of time.

moral of the story, don't complain about your mom not spoiling you with new gear when you aren't even working hard enough to pass an important class. and don't go saying english is a useless class. even if you are assigned to read a pointless book you are still learning. whether it is just practicing reading or gaining a little knowledge about writing. you're 14...still have lots to learn boy.

 
Do your work man, I'll be the first to tell you that english isn't easy. But then again i have ADD. anywhom if you really want equitment go out this summer and get a job, i was working at fish cannery I.E. 17 hour days a entire summer. They are worse things then not skiing, at least you are still that kid on NS and still alive. Peace be with you, and good luck!.. And for god sakes get good at english, we dont ALL want to be speaking spanish in 20 years. lol
 
If you cared, or had a little wit about it, you can make a deal with her. It's not hard. Tell her you promise you'll have your grade up before Christmas. Talk to your teacher, see what you need to do to get a C or B, then do it. Prove to your mom you're not a retard.

i failed english once in 8th grade...i was the best reader/writer/everything else in the class, i just didn't know what the fuck a present participle or a dangling modifier were, etc. 

i was just thinking "who cares whether or not i can identify those goddamn clauses if i can write them well on my own by accident?" apparently that wasn't the point though...

im a professional writer for 2 different magazines and a newspaper now in my spare time in college, and i still dont know what a participial phrase or a dangling modifier look like.

My 9th grade english class was horrible. We read Shakespeare and interperated it in a litteral sense. Who does that to Shakespeare?

We would read famous works of literature and be so 1-dimensional about it that it made me angry. I didnt learn a thing.

All I did was sleep and screw around i that class and I still got an A.

My english class now is too easy even. My teacher doesnt know the difference between a simili and a metaphor.

its when you have two seperate clauses That dont really go together and causes a confusion of meaning... For example:

Skiing through the park, my jacket flapped in the wind.

It just sounds akward, because it makes it seem like the jacket is the subject doing the skiing...
 
yeah the only way u can fail a high school class is if u dont do the work. can u honestly say you did every assignment and just didnt do well on them? if you cant i dont feel bad for you and i side with ur mom there is no way you should fail a highschool class when the teachers will pass you if you just do the work even if what you do isnt that good.

and  tell her thats its only a progress report, work ur ass off the rest of the quarrter, pass and shred th e gnar this winter. dont sit around and mope about it. it cant be that hard.
 
youve gotta be pretty dumb to fail grade 9 english. i took that last year and i didnt try at all. literally. all you have to do is sparknote the books and the rest is shit you already know (grammar, vocab, etc)
