Ok so who has been bitten by a black widow?

i just got bitten on my hand by a black widow it's just on my hand so im not that worried, but im trying to decide whether i should go to the hospital or not obviously if it swells up all huge and i start having muscle cramps or other symptoms of black widow bite ill go but i was wondering if anyone has had any experience
 
i got one last week...i got stomach cramps, dizziness, swelling on bite (it was on my leg)...i was fine an hour later, though. i guess severe reactions only occur in children and the elderly. if you arent fine in an hour or two, you may need the antivenin (i think thats what its called)

I would go dude, its probably going to be a very painful week regaurdless, and at least at the hospital a doctor will be able to say if you're at risk of dying or anything. And black widow bites can paralyze your respiratory system, so I wouldnt wait and plan on driving over there, go now.

ya but im not like 3 or like 80 and its not like on my neck or anywhere its been like a half an hour and i still dont feel anything so i dunno, plus there is really nothing they can do at the hospital besides give me some kind of anti-venom which i doubt they have at the hospital in my town w/e we'll see within the next hour or two
 
most likely you will be fine people react very differently. if you start to see any and i mean any swelling you are best advised to go to the hospital to prevent it from getting any worse. they can do preventative treatment so that you wont be laid up in pain or your hand and arm dont become the size of a grapefruit.
 
well it's been about an hour and the only symptom i have is this little red mark thats not even swollen so i think im good
 
i would probebly go to the hospital if i got bite my a garden snake

snakes scare the shit out of mee after watching snakes on a plane

 
yep, i picked up a cinder block and got that icky feeling you get when you put your hand spider webs then put it down and noticed a black widow fall to the ground so i picked up another cinder block and smashed then i noticed another go hide in a dif cinderblock so igot a stick and smashed it thouroughly, after i was sufficiently confident i had defeated all of my enemies i began to notice a small spot on my left hand that was red and starting to get swollen
 
well i consulted webMD first actually

but NS is good cus you can git opinions of people who have experienced such things
 
dude it doesnt matter where it bites you. you do have veins all over your body that will carry whatever is put in them to any where in your body. stupid asshole
 
there was a black widow in some grapes at my job, lucky they were make platters so they had knifes around
 
NS is also good cus when you get the answers you were asking for, you can just Ignore them, and tell people that they don't know shit, right?
 
There is no cure for a widow bite, and no real anti-venom. Ahh they can do is treat you as best they can, and hope you don't die......i am pretty sure this is BS.
 
its not bs the only people who die from black widows are old people, infants, and people with medical conditions i got bit hours ago and im fine no shit
