OK, so i have 500 bucks

i bought a 360. and personally i like the game selection better. but thats just me. plus a lot more people have it, so its alot easier to play with people you know. i know 1 person that owns a ps3 and he doesnt know anyone else that has it or online. whereas i have a good 20 friends or so from my school. live is just amazing. and also halo3. i do wish the 360 had bluray tho

dont get either one just buy a nice new pair of skis
 
360, no question. more games, better games, cheaper. there won't be many games that will come out solely for ps3 (not many must have ones that is), and it's just a better all around system IMO.

but what about bluray?!?!?!?!?!!? who gives a fuck?
 
what the fuck did you do to it, i got mine 2 months ago and i play it every day and it works perfectly
 
actually, i got one for 25 bucks that wasnt the namebrand one. just look around for things that do the same thing that don't cost as much.

I was playing Rainbow Six Vegas for the first time on a ps3 and i noticed that the shadows sucked ass and were all pixilated and shit. Ive played this game a shitload on 360 and the shadows are flawless. I dunno if the shadows just suck for Rainbow Six or if it is with all games. But I would probably get a 360 just because there are a lot more awesome games out for it.
 
too bad blue ray is going to fail. hd dvd will win the format war and the ps3's movie feature will be useless.
 
skate is way mo' ballin for PS3. PS3 hands down, awesome games comin out now for the tre. the 7 month lag of game titles that followed the release of ps3 is over. the time it takes for all the game developers to release their NONRELEASE titles (for ps3) is ovverrr. ps3 really sick wirelessly whether its the cntrollers or internet connection, bluetooth connections for handsfree devices as well that are way coooler than the halo3 SPECIAIL edition queer headset.
 
I am a playstation lover... have a ps one and a ps2 and did a bunch of research on the ps3 and 360...i ended up switching to 360, and i am positive it was the right choice...plus xbox live is amazing...second i am not a halo fan BUT!

Call of Duty 4 is a must have for any 360 owner, those graphics will blow you away. and the realism of the game it self is just wow.
 
then you call up microsoft and with their kick ass warentee that microsoft has on every 360 they send you a box, you send your 360 back in it...then after about 3 weeks (thats what it took for me) you get a brand new box back...i did that and have been playing mine for 10 months now with no problems.
 
If you definitely made up your mind to not get skis get PS3 for sure. Assuming this is true, lets review this:

80gig PS3 system - $499.82

10 Free BR moveis up to $30/movie - $300 value

Motostorm Free w/ bundle - $59.82 value

5 Free movies by mail (not so good choices) - Avg. Maybe $20-$25

If this sale turns out to be true, with all the free shit you're getting it puts the PS3's core system at around $40-$65 USD depending on what movies you buy.
 
360. I've always liked Xbox better. I just like the games and the controllers more. Like Xbox has Oblivion, Assassins Creed, EA Skate, Halo 3...like come on man! How could you get a PS3 over that?
