Ok so here dose not have a GOPRO?

You know he probably had to sign a non-disclosure agreement right? I work for the television industry myself and every program format is kept strictly confidential before launch.. fines run up in the 100.000s, and you just told us a large part of the format lol
 
He hasn't signed anything. It's just an idea he wants to do. He's not a producer or anything. He's a technical cable chief. One of those jobs you never think of, but damn, they pay good. We just have connections and we're all dreaming. I myself, am taking Broadcast Engineering right now at SAIT in Calgary.
 
it seems there are two types of people with gopros at my mountain.
1: those who use it in addition to a high quality camera to add additional angles to a shot and film POV in the park.
2: 12 year olds filming themselves via helmet mount while they wedge their way down green runs.
it must be really exciting to watch the film from scenario #2
 
I bought a gopro shortly before christmas, and it's the best 250 bucks I've ever spent.

Am I good? Not that good. Does it matter? No, it doesn't. It's a fucking awesome camera, so what if a few gapers have them?
 
im not a big fan of the go pros. they work well when the weather is good, but screw night skiing or cloudy weather with those bastards. they are like specialty shot cameras, i mean yeah you can incorporate it into an edit, but i think edits shot entirely with go pros get a litttle boring....
 
i noticed that too i have seen alot of gapers with go pros which is weird i even saw a like 70 year old man with one
 
I have one but they have become very popular around the mountains. There are so many different mounts for it and it's the lightest camera. The best $200 you will ever spend. It's shock resistant and able to withstand the toughest falls. It's also waterproof to like 100 feet or something- I just took it in the pool with me and the shot is so clear! If your looking to make the sickest edits, the GoPro is by far the best.
 
I wouldn't be too sure of that. I don't see anything on it that makes it shock resistant. I've heard cases where people have dropped into onto concrete or something. And it's all bunged up.

i think it will last for a very long time but i do hate that people look at me like i have a human killing laser on my head
 
Same. Not the greatest park skier but definitely would like to have one when I go out west and for snorkling in the summer
 
major influx like someone said above. but it's probably more because they see people like Tom Wallisch using one on the Dew Tour and "have to have one". Good marketing too, their commercials are dope
 
but then there are also the people who use them for the good video quality in such a compact size. easy to carry, mount, seems pretty durable, and waterproof housing. I wouldnt be surprised if we saw more and more each season
 
thats another one, they're versatile. people on here need to just admit that go pro made a great product. sure some people will have issues but what are you gonna do?
 
I dont have one but have thought about getting one a bunch. I dont think my editing would good though so i just haven't pulled the trigger
 
I don't but I'm trying to win one in the contest. It's a cool little camera, doesn't only have to be pov and I don't have an video cameras. And who cares who uses it. I'm not saying I don't poke fun at people riding off the lips of rails and such wearing go pros, but I'm not saying they shouldn't own one. They wanna film themselves. For them it's home movies or whatever, good memories.
