Here's the deal guys.

The party in question will be referred to as John so none of you over eager little ones ruin the plan early. I KNOW THIS IS A LONG READ - but I thought it was necessary to get you guys the full story. Let's do this right shall we?

I was hired about a month ago to do foreclosure cleanouts, landscaping, repairs and winterization by John. John originally lived in the area, we met once, he gave me a fake name (which I only found out recently) and introduced me to another crew (who I believe were also just being scammed) before hiring me and heading back to his home in CA. He seemed like a really good dude. Wouldn't stop talking about wanting to take care of me properly, paying me extra for jobs well done, christmas bonus', the whole 9 yards. I began working for john, I completed 5 full properties that accumulated to about 2200 in expenses and payroll before sending him my first bill after 2 weeks. This is rugged, dirty and totally demeaning work. You would be amazed at what messes people live in and how much work it takes to get their old abandoned homes to look sale-able.

He communicated that the check was in the mail, while I did another half weeks work. I then realized I had never given him my address. I immediately realized something was up, I contacted him and he tried to play it cool, got my address, but I immediately stopped doing all work and told him I would not be working until the check showed up at my door. By this time my expenses were up around 3500, where they stand today. As of late last week the check never came, he stopped responding to me completely, and I am without a paddle.

And then some progress. After a good bit of digging I finally found a lead towards the end of one of his emails to me where he forgot to delete some information he gets from the foreclosure/prop management company for which he has a contract to do business. I found his business' formal name (though he was also operating with a fake personal name with this company) and enough info to track down his companies registration in california. The company was legally disolved over a year ago, but I found his lawyers name and contact info and this guys address (assuming that it is current).

I was able to use this information to find the business page he created on facebook, and through a process of elimination found his facebook profile under his real name. I am sure this is him.

So I have the following

- Guys Name, Facebook Profile, Address if current, access to his entire friends list, a few photos

- Lawyers Name, Business Info Etc (looks legit)

- Business Facebook Page (being operated illegally given it was dissolved over a year ago and it is clear they are still doing business, probably not paying taxes) and access to all of the "friends" of the business

After contacting the company he has this contract for, and reading reviews of their business practices online, I have very little hope that they will do anything to help me. They are a very large company with very few people trying to do anything but push the paper they are assigned to push and are notorious themselves for late an no payments. He is not an employee of theirs but a subcontractor and I don't know that the proof I hold is even legit enough to make them do something if they ever offer to help. It doesn't look like they will, but I'm waiting until then.

So NS, this is where you come in.

I would like to fuck with this guy appropriately whilst minimizing any legal risk on my own part, but let the ideas fly. I do think given some suggestions from you guys we can fuck with this guy at least enough for a good laugh, hopefully enough to get him to pay me because he is afraid of what I can do to his online life.

send him a box of poo and where you would normally put your name/address put his real name/address

did-not-read-eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3-2350.gif

get everyone to call the business and ask if they have copies of pokemon snap

alternatively you can send him stuff for free by writing the destination address as the return address and the address of someone you don't like as the address you're mailing it to but don't put any postage on it

even if it goes through it'll still go to that person

buuuuuuut likely they'll return it to the "sender" (John).

right

Well shit, if you can prove he's not paying his taxes but still doing business, then report him to the Feds. They want their money from taxes probably more than you want yours from him. They'll fuck his life up if you can get them involved on the amount of backed taxes this guy owes.

Get his head expertly photoshopped onto a picture of someone raping a child. Put on on his facebook business page.

Dark but effective.

Will be talking w/ legal council and the company he works for further before any untraditional purposes, but I have my doubts about my ability to really nail the case given evidence I have. Just collecting firepower here

How many people were working on a team with you? I'd say that those people would prove some substantial evidence. And if any of them are still working for the guy you could have them video tape the work that theyre doing secretly

I was only working with one other person, and he was working under me because I needed help. John was never around, this was subcontracted work. Proving I did the work is not a problem, it's proving that he owes me money for it that might be.

oh i see, maybe if you contacted your bank and got a statement that said none of the money was ever deposited into your account.

but good luck!

I think that the problem is he worked off the books, so there is no proof he did any work for him ever.

This I worked for a company called riverdeep and i found out that after i invoiced them they are notorious for not paying people they owed me a shit ton of money I'm talking way over ten thousand i got a lawyer the next day and even though i had to pay a lot for him and it took a while and even with riverdeep having a whole legal department i still got paid hope that helps.

I don't fuck with anything over a class B scammer. Class A people have connections. I don't want to fuck with that shit you know?

Contact him again and tell him all of this. Tell him you have all his info and know exactly what he is doing. Maybe this threat will be enough for him to pay you? idk

being a demolition contractor (like legit rigging constructed buildings with explosives and demolishing them) is a dream of mine. but the closest big city i'm near is Charlotte. and i figure businesses like that will be in NYC.

Oh well good luck OP! You sound like a man for doin demo work

If he doesn't live in your state he's not even gonna show up to court. You will get a judgement in your favor. He will still not pay you. You then have to go back to court and get his wages garnished. It will take a long time and possibly not be worth it.

Another option you have is hiring a private investigator to get you all his personal information, cell phone, family members ect. And harass the fuck out of him and his family at all hours.

Spoke w/ lawyer (friends father) on phone briefly. He communicated pretty much the same thing and that I should start with reporting him to my states bureau of employment... Long road, possibly no positive outcome despite him being willing to help me out a bit.

I'm stuck

put up his fb now and everyone can post on his wall the he ripped you off and that no one should deal with him theres no way he could delete all the posts and he couldnt stem the tides of raging ns'rs

if he has exhausted all legal possibilities, and talked to the guy, this is just to get back at him if he cant get the money back

This is somewhat true, but I have emails and texts confirming he was planning on paying me.

I need something more constructive than the clearly defamatory shit that will just get us nowhere. Reporting him to the IRS or threatening too could be somewhat effective.
