Ok i find this just really bad

I ordered a reasonably small order from Level 1 on April 20, as it was international i looked under their shipping time and they said it would be between 3-4 weeks expecting to get it hopefully before May 25 as i was competing in an urban rail jam and wanted to wear the hat. I also ordered some stickers and a movie. 4 weeks later i called them and asked them if they knew where the order might have been, they said they haven't shipped it yet, it might take another 2 weeks. A bit annoyed i continued waiting for another 2 weeks. On June 1st, I started to worry that i might not even get it before i leave to the snow on June 20th so i called them again and they said they just shipped. Almost two weeks later i still haven't got it, this is now 8 weeks since i ordered, and i don't even think i will get it before i leave to the snow. 2 months, and still no package!

Has this ever happened to any of you?

I want to know if anyone has had the same problem.

And sorry for the rant hahaha

The caravan your package was on was probably raided by bandits, if it was driven by a redgaurd then most likely it was raided by the alik'r. If it was then you might be able to negotiate or it might still be by the caravan since they aren't really thiefs. Try looking between markarth and whiterun, that seems to be a popular route.

this is the ski industry, not amazon or some big time online market place. The companies are hard at work with their film project while trying to tackle orders at the same time. Cut them a break, they will get you your product as soon as they have a second of free time

ha ya that is pretty bad , my brother had a similar experience with level 1 a year or so ago, took 4 weeks longer than expected, but in their defense they did apologize and they did hook him up with a 60.00 hoodie as well, but ya, hope you get your shit man.

Disagree. I know they're busy with their primary line of work which is their moviemaking but don't take customer's money for other items and neglect your posted shipping times. Delays happen, but it should not be the expected norm.

Their shipping does suck. Not sure why it takes them multiple weeks to get something in the mail. When ordering through most other ski companies, you can tell that they appreciate your business and are great with shipping/customer service...Level 1 does lack in that arena.

no way, level 1 isn't some start up operation. if they don't have enough workers to put shit in boxes and send them out within 2 months theyre being cheap and/or lazy, end of discussion

They're always super swamped down there. The guy who does their shipping is also a full time student; its a number you're going through that though homie.

Remember that too. They're a production company who happens to sell sick gear.

workers? are you kidding me? Berman does everything himself and has one intern in the summer (who like someone said, is a full time student, irrelevant now) I dunno who you think these companies are but they're a start up compared to any other company outside of the ski film industry. TGR and MSP are exceptions, but they do way more than just ski movies.

I interned for the Level 1 gang last year while I was also a full time student and did A LOT of shipping. Trust me, those guys aren't slacking off by any means. We all know how much work goes into these movies but I'm not sure everyone can fully understand until you see the behind the scenes. Gotta give credit where it's due. There's always gonna be mistakes with shipping, etc. so it's unfortunate this has happened to people but making sure customers are stoked is definitely a top priority at Level 1.

Have him call the office. The contact info is on their website.

I find it amusing when companies like L1, Matchstick, Saga, Jiberish, etc. are all heavily popular and regularly check in on NS. When things like shipping orders become an issue problematic enough to have a thread made, there should undoubtedly be action taking place. I'm sorry, no one is busy for 8 weeks where orders aren't even handled. International or not, it's not a fat customs ordeal you're dealing with. There are interns at Level1, affiliates, etc. and if someone isn't solely in-charge of the webstore on at least a day on/day off basis in the off season - there should be. Granted, they will add a T, some stickers, or throw in another 'apologetic' item in the package but it's the time constraint that was the issue. Movies are a priority, I get it. But time management outside of final cut and after effects should be taken to help with those that are here supporting the industry let alone paying to help these movies go out.

I never understand why you defend these companies when people have issues with late shipping. I don't give a rats ass if its the most core company or some mega bucks superbrand, when people are pissed about not getting what they bought, they should fix that mistake and not let it happen in the future.

haha evan, your blatant defense here is pathetic. just shut the fuck up and wipe that brown shit off your face. Level 1 is NOT a startup, are you stupid or do you have no sense in what a business is. If this was L1's 3rd movie after being funded through Kickstarter, I'd say they are just climbing over the fence of being a "startup" but they're 11yrs old and have just as good of a quality in film as RedBull's. You film with a fucking Glidecam, they (FINALLY) got a MoVi from Freefly (*flips hair back* I've been using one of them for about 6 months now - aerial video is the new shit). So, to afford a MoVi 5/10 your're dropping $5k, $15k respectively. All the while funding stops all over little planet Earth to GTS. That's not a startup, L1 built a name for themselves so the gentleman above me and myself included would appreciate if you'd stop trying so hard to try to "make it" with your petty $0.02 comments okay?

Go continue your petty workflow antics on a camera you're not even using to your full potential and maybe in a season or two you can become your own startup. Get bent, shitty.

Dear level 1,

I live in Denver, and will work for you, and be your shipping bitch.

From,

Zach

Lol I dunno where this came from. At no point did I ensue that im better than l1p, or even better than anyone else. I have a full time job, I'm not trying to make it in the ski film industry, I realize there is zero money and I bailed.

I'm just gonna a leave the rest alone, I'm not sure what you think a filmer makes or what someone like berman makes as operator of l1p but you seem to think we're all millionaires. You kind of seem to know what you're talking about so I'm pretty confused why you think l1p is this big company.

Not hard to get a job from them. I interviewed and got it, I just didn't have too much interest because they give you very few hours, making it hard to get really involved in the company, and theres no pay. Awesome guys though.

this happened to me with saga last year, i preordered a hat and it was supposed to come in august, instead it came in late november. not that big a deal but still

Level 1, along with most other production companies in our sport, is small and run by a very small group of people headed by Berman, obviously. That being said, they have a shop on their site, which gives you estimated delivery times. They chose to make that commitment to their customer, they put that deadline on themselves. If they can't meet the standards they set, they are hurting themselves and their customers. The end, no one is being unfair expecting what they originally promised and being upset that they didn't follow through on their end of the deal.

If you can't maintain a web-store, don't open one. It's as simple as that.

But it is a big deal. If you're offering a product and someone buys it you ship it to them in a timely fashion. That's how you stay in business.

Yeah I don't understand how you don't see that as a big deal. You must be Jesus.

haha you must be a chill cat man, ha id be fucking pissed. but whatev, level 1 always been this way shipping since i starting buying there movies years and years ago. i think out of probably 10-15 orders i have placed thru them i have received my stuff on time 2 times.... so ya thats why i buy all my shit of i tunes now. works better and you get your shit on time obviously, but i still miss having the hard copy dvds personally. but i also dont like waiting months on end for my order while not knowing what the fuck is going on with it or where the fuck it is etc....

dude level 1 has been around for like 14 years and are fairly successful, they are WAY past the point of "but guys we're just a poor little start up, you can't expect us to behave like an actual business"

theyre not selling their gear at a loss or even close to it, so it's pretty obvious that they have money to pay some schmuck to put shit in boxes and address them. youre a moron if you think they actually can't afford that-- if they insist on only having free labor do that theyre cheap and should drop the charade

i like that youre defending your fellow filmer and all but from the sounds of it berman isn't keeping up his end of the bargain on the business side of things and people aren't assholes for complaining that the shit they paid good money for hasn't arrived. end of discussion. if you call yourself a business and take people's money you can't just not do your side of things and whine "but this company is only 14 years old guys"

I order from Level 1 about once a season. Their stuff is good, cheap and (for me) has mostly always arrived on time. There was one situation where i ordered some t's and after 2 weeks they hadnt come, so i emailed and got a response saying that they had sent out a duplicate order FOC with priority shipping. Keep doing your thang Level 1.

No, I'd say don't keep doing your thang Level 1, because it seems like there's an issue with a good majority of their shipments. Just because you've been lucky enough to have success with ordering a couple times doesn't mean it's all good buddy. Think big picture.

Happened to me with Poorboyz, pre-ordered Everyday is a Saturday, messaged them multiple times over 6 months (after they announced pre-orders were sent out), got no answer, then it finally came in the mail in like March or April with no DVD inside. Never bought from them again
