Oily crap on my bases?

So yesterday I seemed to have gotten some blackish kinda oily stuff on my bases. I have no idea how but i did. My friends who I was with got it too. I tried washing it off with soap and water but it made no difference.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get this crap off?

I'll put up some pics when I get back from skiing today.

what happens when you ski on slush it happend to me last weekend i couldnt even move in slush then when i left i saw that my bases were like darker so i ran my finger on it and it was this nappy ass dirt

get them waxed by someone that actaully knows what they're doing. a proper wax includes a base cleaning which is really what you need but then you'll need a fresh coat of wax on them becasue you don't want to be riding the p-tex.
