Oil Companies Report Record-Breaking Profits

I had something typed out but I deleted it. Honestly man - I think you need to take a breather. Gates is a bad guy only in the way that he’s a billionaire who benefits from cheap labor costs. These conspiracies are crazy.

Ahhh pointless feigning of concern to deflect from the fact that you’ve read nothing on the topic. The only crazy thing about this is that they are willing to literally spell this out in publicly available books that you will not read, and continue to believe you know everything.

And where do you think the energy to build and power our lord and savior the electric vehicle comes from? Magic? A farting unicorn? What about the lithium itself? I’m beginning to think Klaus and ol billy boy are right and we need to cull the useless eaters like you. Anyways get your booster.

**This post was edited on Aug 2nd 2022 at 6:15:16pm

Yeah the power for EVs comes from fossil fuels, Obviously the EV is not the solution to all our problems, but Biden is enacting policies favoring them and oil companies don't like it. The lithium also takes a lot of fossil fuels and damage to the environment to extract. I'm having a hard time understanding what your point is here. Oil companies are going to resist regulation in any way they can, including raising prices to put pressure on the voters. I'm not saying 100% that I know that they are doing that but it wouldn't surprise me. If increased regulation is causing increase in prices, the prices will decrease over time because the companies will adapt to the regulation, and the demand will drop because of the high prices, leading to a decrease in price.

Idahos Attorney General (republican) is claiming gas stations are making upwards of $.70 profit per gallon compared to the usual $.10. I'm usually pretty free market but this is really starting to hurt a lot of people.

idaho is fucked fs. always have had hella expensive gas for how rural/conservative of a state it is

$0.1/gallon seems like awfully low profit margins

I've always heard the per gallon profit for the station is really low and the business model is really in the convience store side of things.

You guys are morons - gas would be $2 a gallon if the keystone XL continued. Shut the fuck up and go buy a Tesla if you wanna complain, that fucking stupid cuck lord Elon will remotely disable your vehicle when you don’t pay your monthly software update fees.

im not kidding, Tesla can knock 100 miles of range off your car remotely just to cuck you.

via a software update.

Literally any modern car can be remotely disabled, electric fuel or not. You're a fucking noob.

LMAO this is a prime example of deflecting to a completely unrelated thing.

Remotely hacking (disabling) vehicles has been happening for years now, though. Anyone else remember when that Jeep was remotely hacked in 2015?

I don’t need to read up on it. What is so ground breaking in that book? Reflections on the workforce and a more efficient workforce? Tell your points instead of deflecting and saying “read the book”. I could do the same thing to you but it’s a cop out so I don’t. You have said literally nothing of substance after I asked who those two were and then you said “your masters”. This is literally talking in circles asking you to clarify anything.

Doubling back to say you were the same guy telling me to set up euro brokerage accounts to leverage crypto saying “get a vpn”. That right there shows you don’t know absolutely anything about anything. You’re making stuff up. You can’t just set up a foreign brokerage account without necessary documents.

You just talk through your ass and make up stuff on the spot. So like I said - please clarify.

I'm sure the rise in price has nothing to do with the record-breaking profits among all of the oil producers who are purchasing stock buybacks instead of investing in more production. LOL

Oh right, so all independent oil companies in unison just decided to raise prices and rob people without government repercussions.

Lol. Imagine all independent grocery stores just randomly raised their prices in unison.

I guess competition doesn't exist anymore.

LET'S JUST ALL RAISE PRICES FOR NO REASON.

Oh look, the dumb fuck Republican doesn't realize 80% of all food in groceries stores are provided by 5 companies.

Kids, this is what happens when you rely on social media for your news.

BECAUSE YOU KNOW, THATS HOW A FREE MARKET WORKS.

OIL COMPANIES HAD RECORD BREAKING PROFITS BECAUSE THEY ALL JUST DECIDED TOGETHER TO RAISE GAS PRICES AT THE PUMP

You sound so fucking stupid.

Free markets have a tendency towards monopoly. OPEC literally works this way. I can't really say if the oil companies decided to raise their prices together or not. I implied that earlier and that was a mistake. However, if they are making record profits, they are a contributing cause to inflation. By taking more profit, they are increasing the cost to everyone else.

The government printing 80% of currency in the last 2 years under the BIDEN regime is the real cause of inflation.

BIDEN Reduced the national debt by 1 trillion dollars!!! BY PRINTING 3 TRILLION DOLLARS!!

Oh, and the Sherman Anti Trust act is the biggest law against monopolies.

The fact that people think oil is just raising prices without repercussions is fucking hilarious. Just another example of how stupid libs are.

He honestly believes the oil industry is a free market when they receive tens of billions in government welfare a year from the U.S. alone and he didn't know OPEC existed until now.

You might as well argue with a child as to why Santa Claus doesn't give out more expensive presents to children born into poverty. Like the Republican party, its fucking useless.

I don't really know enough about monetary policy to answer that but I do know it's more complex than "BIDEN print money therefore inflation".

Yeah, I know the Sherman Anti-Trust act exists, just because the act exists doesn't mean companies don't behave in anti-competitive and monopolistic ways to the fullest extent they can without violating it. And just because the law exists doesn't mean it is perfect and can't be improved upon.

The fact that people think the gov't just prints money for no reason without repercussions is fucking hilarious. Just another example of how stupid republicans are.

And if you think that corporate profits don't contribute significantly to inflation, they definitely do. For example, when prescription drug companies massively upcharge for drugs, that cost gets transferred to health insurance companies, which then gets transferred to EVERY COMPANY that gives their employees health insurance, which means that they have to charge more for their services.

The funny part is skierman just thinks that raising prices = more profits.

So tell me, why doesn't every company do this?

It's kinda funny really, a perfect storm.

Oil investors want to see returns instead of blowing cash on eternal production growth

Biden, Trudeau and Quebec want to attack oil production growth in NA

Growth stunted a bit by Covid

The world coming out of lockdown and consuming like mad.

Biden begging for oil from corrupt leaders, can't sanction Russian oil lol

When will environmentalists learn that promoting alternatives instead of attacking production is the answer..............

That is precisely what they do. You are right though, it’s not Yoe Biren doing the printing, it’s the federal reserve along with the central banks of every state on earth. Only the repercussions fall on everyone else, and they reap the profits. I recommend reading up on the debt-based economy system, the petrodollar, and fractional reserve banking. After that go read about the true reason the US/NATO invaded Libya and Iraq. I suspect though that your conditioned zoomer brain sees the word read and recoils in disgust and fear.

I truly don't understand a single point of VT, was so scattered, basically just seems like its all the Dems fault. When in reality its a bipartisan issue that is rooted in misinformation, lobbying, and corruption.

Also to point out the issue of Renewable energy and the waste that they create; We have invested millions (if not billions) of dollars over the past century or so to make our power planets as effective as possible. That being said where we are now, in technological advancement, has reached its peak efficiency. Renewable energy has never been invested in like traditional energy, meaning that the room to improve is still unknown. With that I will point out that renewable energy now is considerably efficiency so just imagine if we put that same money into improving the current technology.
