Ohio mtbing (week of april 10)

after some sick riding this weekend; 5 hrs at rays on saturday followed by vultures knob on sunday, i am ready for the mountain bike season. all this week is supposed to be dry and vultures knob was dry and fast today. i would like to get out and ride a couple days this week. if anyone wants to ride vultures this week (late afternoon), post here. this weekend is also supposed to be nice, so we should definitely get some good riding in.

 
i'm already planning on ray's again this coming saturday, dane cook's gonna be at ksu that night too if anyone's up for laughing their ass off

i wanna ride saturday possibly, but definitely outside. the knob or possibly mohican wilderness would be fun, anyone into downhill?

i haven't ridden the dh at mohican yet, but have been wanting to for a while. but the knob is in as good a shape as it gets. on the other hand, rays is sick too... who would have thought you could have this sort of mt biking dilemma in ohio? i would prefer to do something outside, wait to do rays when it is raining, or at night.

 
yeah man, thats like skiing park on a pow day!!! the dh courses at wilderness are amazing. i have a pretty stout rig, 6.5 inches of travel on each end, and my bike is not quite enough in some of the spots. the courses might be fucked up though because of that damn ice storm, lots of downed trees. knob might be a good option.

as much as i want to go to rays again soon, i woud rather go somewhere free and outdoors. we don't get this kind of weather in the spring too often, so i don't expect it to last. so i am for sure going to vultures this weekend, probably saturday and sunday. once it starts to rain again i can think about rays. so who is down for vk this weekend?

would a p2 work where? if you're talking about rays, then a p2 would be great, but at vultures knob you'd have some trouble. the knob is a technical xc trail.

 
a p2 would work fine at vultures knob. none of the hills are that bad on an xc bike, so you will just have to work a little harder. if you wanna see something funny, come watch me and one of my friends ride there this weekend on our downhill bikes. neither of us have other mountain bikes, so we are just using our dh rigs. it should be a leg burning comedy hour. haha

you're right mark, i didn't mean to discourage you from going vince, i just meant you might have to work a little harder. the bike can handle it no problem.

 
i am almost 100% sure that i am going to vulture's knob on saturday and saturday only. we should try to organize some sort of meeting time so we can all ride together. it should be totally sick!! i am super stoked to get outside on my mountain bike!

hey, i rode vutures on 45 lb freeride bike with 8 inches of rear travel. it was a bitch and a half, but i made it. a P2 would be a breeze compares to that.

but im down lika clown, wherever everyone is riding, im there, just call me.

sorry guys i cant make it, broke my thumb and re-tore my ligaments in my hand. i have a cast on and i cant even grip my handlebar, unless i tape my hand to it. ill be out of it in like 2-3 weeks hopefully.

i am down for riding whenever. i am thinking around noon would be a good time to meet, but whatever you guys want, i know some people have like an hour drive.

 
i'd probably be down for noon o'clock on saturday, we should just all meet at the end of the driveway by the sign or something, those trailers in the back have sexual predator written ALL over them

hey i got some good news, and i got some bad news.

bad news is i cant make knob n saturday, good ews is cause im startin my summer job at a bkeshop. but hey, i was back in our trails today, and they definatly need wrk. however, there are alot of places where new bridges/stunts can be built, so im, gonna talk to the landowner (also the owner of the shop ill be working at) and see bout gettin permission for a build/ cleanup day, hopefully next weekend. so keep that in mind. but anyway, im definatly hittin up rays after work. so if anyone wants to goin me, hit me up.

i got hit by a car yesterday while i was on a road ride, so i dont know if i am going to be up for riding the knob saturday, i am pretty beaten up. but, i have skied in conditions like this, so i will do my best to make it out there. can't postpone the first day any more!!!!
