Ohio Level 1 Premiere

I'm trying to figure out where to host a premiere this year. In the past 4 years we've done kent area, but I'm open to looking into c-bus, mansfield (maybe even ohio dreams), kent, cleveland...

I though i'd drop this post now so I could get feedback before it comes time to book a venue. Teaser droppin' in the next couple weeks, got some OH/MN in there...
 
mansfield premieres were always fun, but not that many kids turned out. kent seems to have been the spot, and i had fun up there...what venues in cleveland?
 
definately do kent again...always a good turnout and kinda central location for most people not tooo far
 
mansfield.................. haha, but really. and i think there is more of big group of young people that ski so there would be more of a turnout than in the past years i'm thinking
 
you know my vote.  i think columbus would be a good change of pace.  big city.  and although i'm a snowtrails ski shopper through and through, there is quite and aspen ski/board following down that way.  i think it would turn out really well.  
 
mad river is right are the corner too, and I bet the kids from cleveland are willing to drive down since there are so many that live in cbus now, same goes for cincy. Columbus, f

ya gas in a whole other thing. maybe I'll try to find someone in columbus that would want to take on a premiere down there, possibly a ski club at OSU or something along those lines. Anyone know anyone.

This way i could do 2 premieres, 1 in kent and another in columbus
 
Im in the OSU ski club but I dont really know any of the advisers but there email is mailto:Osuskiclub@gmail.com It is mostly gapers though.
 
when is this premier gunna be (or atleast around) cause im movin to CO Aug 15th id like to check it out again this year for sure
 
Premiere would probably be in October. If your going to be in Colorado our biggest premiere is in september in boulder... worth checking out
 
Decker, you should def. do something with Gil Harris and Aspen, as Mark suggested. if you dont know gil, hes a good guy and im sure he would love to do something like this. theres definitely a spawning scene down here, and its not too far from mansfield.

Other option would be like on the oval or something on campus, but thats a pain as far as parking and such.

If your interested in the Aspen thing, I can talk to gil and put you in touch with him
 
its an official osu ski club and we would meet in like a 400 person classroom with a projector and everything. I dont know how well sound would be but I know osu puts on a lot of free movies so I bet there are decent theaters to play the movie. The only downside about putting it on campus would be parking, but I guess there are garages for a small fee.
 
the journalism building has a pretty big theatre. if there is any way we could line something up with the wexner that would be the shit. there's no alcohol, but it's an extremely legit facility.

remember then movie they showed on the side of wexner and there were a ton a peeps outside...thatd be a legit spot, especially since its right on high, too.
 
oh yeah. that was gnarly. that would be amazing if the weather is good. and then walk across the street to a bar. i'll have to do a little research.
 
what would get a shit load of people together could be another aspen rail jam.. if your talking about october then it will be about the same time as last year... the turn out was unbelievable so you could have kids hitting rails and watching the premiere... this could all possibly happen right behind the aspen shop off polaris parkway about 20 min. north of C-bus
 
i like this idea... does anyone still work for or know anyone that works there so i can get in touch with them rather than a random email?
 
Quite a few people on here that work for Aspen, I think Chris mentioned earlier that he could get you in touch with Gil. If the Aspen deal didn't work out, Skully's on High could be a good bar venue for a premier. Mabye even pair you up with a band, ect. I would have to agree though, there seems to be quite a few ppl down here that would head out to see it, just market it well in advance.
 
I propose a theme Premier Party

Lets have a Camaros and DUI themed party.

Where you ask, Cuyahoga Falls of course

Brubakers---> one of the few places people back Camaros and Firebirds into parking spaces

toothless girls give better head too
 
yeah dude talk to chris trunek ...he works at aspen i would be willing to bet that this plan would work for sure because im sure they would have another preseason rail jam so it would be good for both level 1 and for aspen
