OHIO DREAMS

has anyone been or know if they have trampoline practice?
i know they will have rails and 3 water jumps but good trampoline practice before jumps seems very important

went there at the end of last summer, no rails no tramps..just the water ramps and a foam pit if you want to hit up the skatepark.

regardless, water ramps are way more beneficial then trampolines. i mean your actually skiing when youre on the ramps.

Because of Ohio Dream's insurance they had to be open for a certain amount of time before they could get trampolines. I know that that time is either up or close to being up, and tramps are definitely in the future, but for if they will have them this summer I do not know.

One benefit of Ohio Dreams is the lack of people. Skiers and snowboarders get in countless hits a day on the ramps because in the summer the ramps are limited to only campers. The coaching is also very good, and the level of skiers at camp ranges from never before snowboarded (not recommended for water ramps, guy just had balls) to recreational and competitive kids to nationally known am and pro skiers.

Also the water ramps at Ohio Dreams are freestyle PARK designed, unlike Lake Placid or Park City. They aren't mogul jumps, they are park jumps. Ohio Dreams is the only place in the nation with water ramps like this, which is why some skiers travel a long ways to hit them. There are three sizes and the tricks that are thrown can be ridiculous. If you ski park it is way better to learn your tricks of a water ramp that is cut the same as the jump you are hitting versus a mogul aerials ramp that throws you differently.

Let me know if you have any questions,

G

UPDATE: I just heard that there is supposed to be a trampoline and a dry slope with rails at Ohio Dreams this summer!

still somewhat debateing between ohio and lake placid
i was wondering hhow much more you would learn going for 2 weeks rather than one
it seems like you would lock up ur tricks in a few days then perfect on the hill
thanks

has any1 been to both here and placid bcuz ive been to placid and from the vido of oh dreams it doesnt look like u go as big and the aeration system looks worseis any of this true

Never been to Placid but if you hit the pro jump at Ohio Dreams it throws you plenty high enough in the air, and it throws you like a park jump would, not a mogul aerials one. .. The aeration system works just fine..

we were all throwing doubles relatively easily. the middle jump is big enough to do whatever you would ever want to do on the snow.
