Mack Dawg Productions that is. I found this trailer from a few years ago for "Picture This". I thought the way they put together the trailer was really cool and i wish skiing edits owuld be more creative and look something like this:

My icon is that because i wear first drop. whats your point? i like their clothes. and i didnt mean originality, i meant creativity in the way they make edits

I think you are thinking that I was referring to your originality. Which I was not. Let me explain how irony is at work in this situation: You want ski edits to be more creative and original like snowboard edits/videos.

Many of us feel the same way about ski apparel. You see, First Drop offers absolutely nothing that wasn't already on the market in terms of color, fit, quality, style, marketing, image, or anything else I can think of that goes into an outerwear company.

His icon pertains to clothes. His post pertains to videos. Why are you trying to make them sound like the same thing? It would be ironic if he had a PBP icon (no hate on PBP). And what is your beef with First Drop?

the only irony in this that I see is that the OP created an oxymoron and is oblivious to it. You want more creativity and yet you want it to look like that? that, sir, would not be using creativity now would it?

carry on

You sir, seem to be confusing irony with oxymoron, which is often confused with sarcasm. All of which might be at play. What is not happening here is onomatopoeia. Or is it?

How can an icon of an outerwear company relate to creativity in videos. Even if First Drop didnt offer anything that isnt already in the market, it pertains no connection to what the OP was trying to look for on NS, creativity in videos, not unique outerwear.

idk how to explain it but if you watch this and then go watch a skiing edit you can definitely tell which is more creative in terms of editing and such. but also i do think snowboarders are more creative riders than alot of skiers tend to be. Take the one jib where he hits the one triangle thing and comes back down on the other, you rly see that stuff in skiing edits

Oh it pertains a connection. It pertains a huge connection. It also relativates a pertaintion, and satiricizes an ironification.

While I don't expect to be agreed with, it's pretty shocking that the leap from creativity in videos to creativity in clothing design seems to be unfathomable for several people here.

the only thing thing that could be possibly relevant between the 2 is creativity. and even when you look at it like that it makes no sense. Creativity in clothing and creativity in edits are 2 TOTALLY different things. how one is creative in an edit does not have an effect on how creative a particular piece of clothing is.

Are you serious? Picture This had a huge budget, one of the first films done properly in HD (released on Blu-ray/HD-DVD), they had multiple big film crews, real editing/colour correction. It was actually MDP's second last film (last was Double Decade), they stopped as the films cost too much and they couldn't recover enough/profit a bit because of piracy.

How are some kids going to make an edit that stacks up to MDP's pinnacle film?

new trailer son

Didn't read the whole thread but First Drop has maybe the most original outerwear I can think of. Theres a giant pocket smacck dab in the middle I'm pretty sure that hasn't been done before

MDP Made some of the best films, Skiing or Snowboarding. We have some good production companies, but not really with the budget or talent of mack dawg I feel like. I mean, he's been doing it FOREVER!
Anyone remember shakedown? THat movie was THE SHIT!

haven't you ever watched any of the clown school edits? i think there are definitely a fair amount of skiing edits in general that have a more artistic aspect to them than others..

If you were right, that would be cool. But you are not. ^^^^Siver Cartel. I would actually have a hard time thinking of a company LESS original than First Drop. We'll have to agree to disagree. And to all the "what's your beef?" and "stop trying to be witty" comments....I'll have to refer you to the list I wrote. Lists aren't terribly witty, but they are easy to read. Give it a try.
