alright, alright. this isnt a stupid what should i buy cause they look cooler post. OBviously i know basics, but i am more concerned with flex and preformance. so, if you have ridden these skis, reply. if you havent, you dont need to. And i cant demo anything cause we dont get um out here.

177 STL 112-82-104 $450

178 MNP 116-86-109 $550

So the STL has similar geometry, just a little narrower. its also a hundred bucks cheaper. i could probably manage to find the mike nicks cheaper, but i would prefer to buy them from a real dealer. plus im digging the black plaid graphics of the stls.

anyway, which is lighter? how bout the flex? if you could compare it to trouble makers, 1080s, Scratches, 1260s, MSPs, Chronics, that would be good (why dont they create a flex index for skis?) Any input would be appreciated, cause these skis are runnin a pretty close race. thanks

the STL's are really sick they have nice flex and they have sick graphics i would recomend them

i haven't rode either one but what i've heard the stl's are better and for that price def. go w/ the stl's

no, i dont want MSPs, I have seen them, and While def a nice ski, i like um soft. That the MSP is not. how are the Edges on the STLS? i spend a ton of time on rails, and i dont want something thats gonna be all busted halfway through the season.

line are super sick... if you want a stiffer ski you can get the skogen, exact same thing as mnp but the mnp are more flexible...

id get the mick nicks over the stls. basicly i like the grafics more since i havent ridden ither and have nothing else to go on.

im getting the mike nicks. I like a softer flex, but nothing 2 soft, and i like how wide it is.

I don't really like the idea of advertising the lenght of ur ski in huge letters on the tail either, KInda Pointless and a big number just looks lame

yeah, im definatly gettin STLs. i should have a brand new set of trouble makers comming back from warrenty, so once i sell those, ill have most of the cash for these. but come on, how sweet do those boots look with those skis?

and i forgot that 4frnt uses really solid edges, (duh) so that wont be a problem. basically the real selling point, was the 100 dollar cheaper price with an eztra year of warrenty.

for the guy who asked about the STL's edges.... they seem extremly durable and they are super reinforced so they should be really nice on rails

my friend sammy skied the stls all summer for like 35 days straight and HARD on rails and nothing happened to the edges. even if they do get messed up, 4frnt has warrenties on edges cuz they arent supposed to break even after grinding.

I finally got my Fujatives.
