There's a famous saying where I live in Wisconsin: Don't like the weather, stay a minute. On Saturday here in Eagle River, Wisconsin it was 70 degrees. All the ice melted off the lake and we dipped our feet it since it was to cold to go swimming.

Now comes Sunday night, forecast says snow, everyone thinks it will just melt when it hits the ground. Boy were we wrong.

It hasn't stopped snowing since 10 PM on Sunday. We have about a foot now and it still hasn't stopped. It's April 21 and we have no power. Most schools are cancelled (mine isn't) and tonight WE ARE GOING SKIING!!!! Needless to say our spring sports seasons are pretty much blown, but I don't care, I'd rather SKI!

sadly I go to a boarding school so the closest we get to urban is skateboarding rails. We will have a big powder jump built tonight, we have a spot we always build one. We also have all kinds of rock drops that are super fun!

ha, it's gonna be 31 degrees (celsius) over here this weekend. thats like hotter than anything we got last summer.

lucky! down in southern wisconsin here it is just raining... every couple hours itll snow for a few minutes, but it just melts when it hits the ground.

75! That's so nice. It was 95 in Fresno today. We always hit 115 at least 10 times in the summer. Sucks so much dick. It's so hot here. That's a lot of snow as far as snow goes in Wisconsin. Right?

haha wow, i live in ER too. Im at school in CO though, saw it was dumping on my computer. Parents said it was nice and sunny, lakes were melting, then BAM snow.

Yeah I live a little further north so my school gets the Lake Superior snowbelt, so we actually get about 200 inches a year here. We didn't have to many storms this winter where we got 15 inches in one sitting, usually it starts and stops and that.

Another example of how crazy the weather is here: our record low with windchills on school campus was -70 degrees that's about -45 just temperature. In the summer at my house we hit 90-95 easily in the summer nearly every day.

OP, your saying about staying a minute if you dont like the weather in Wisconsin is famous in many places around the world, not just Wisconsin... in fact, ive never heard that saying about anywhere in the US... i think it is much more prevalent and relevant in England and Scotland.

/pointless rant.

you guys should go hit that urban on the way to phelps. Its perfect...right off 17. I bet you know the one. Also there are tons of sick down rails all over the chain, slide em while all the Fibs are at home.

On Sunday it was 30 degrees here and snowed all day.. Nothing stuck around but it was coming down.. Today (Wednesday) it's supposed to be 87.

Oh Wisconsin weather..

when i moved to utah, that was the single biggest difference i noticed.

i will take 100 and sunny here over 80 and humid in wisco anytime.

this past winter, there was a 60 degree difference between my parents house in SE wisco (right by wilmot mtn) and slc.

-30 to 30. insane.

i'm dreading the weather when i go home to visit this june.
