TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 10 TO 18 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH 5 TO 8 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS ARE EXPECTED BY FRIDAY MORNING. IN ADDITION...STRONG SOUTHEAST TO EAST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH WILL CAUSE REDUCED VISIBILITY FROM BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. LOCAL BLIZZARD CONDITIONS CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED... MAINLY NEAR EAST TO WEST ORIENTED CANYONS.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW COMBINED WITH STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS AND SOME ROADS IMPASSABLE.

Those are ill dude. My jump at the Big is all trashed. But there were some sick cornice's that I was dropping yesterday, like, just fuckin bombing it and dropping down like 25 feet. i was almost dropping into the treeline, it was like knee deep. With another 18 inches, holy shit, i cant even think straight. I might build a kicker sat or sunday if it stops snowing huge ammounts, cuz until then i'm skiing pow.
 
Fuck you man, I been waiting for a year like this for 5 years now, and the year that I get my ACL Surgery done it starts pounding. Fucking lame...
 
I've only skied Big Sky and Frazier Lake this year, but Bridger is going to be ridiculous tomorrow. I already know that this will be the best opening day I've experienced, at this point I'm planning on jumping DRCS first run. Can't wait!
 
^ screw drcs, hit 3 bears, there is easily enough snow for it. Parents are fucking lame, I can't even go skiing on opening day because of high school. How gay.
 
I've never really liked how the 3 bears cliff is. I just don't like how instead of having a lip, it rolls over and you drop 40 feet to a flattish landing. I may have to venture over there and check it out though.

That'd be HUGE if you built a booter on that cliff! I know last year there was a lip if you cut right off of it from over by the tree, that one sent you a ways into the air. I don't think I'd have the balls to hit any sort of lip off of that thing though, and with how the traverse gets underneath that cliff, it could cause some pretty good crashes.
 
Honestly, I may skip tomarrow. Shit looks fucking epic at big mtn. I hope we get a snow day so I dont have to skip...but I may anyway.
 
So would you just launch off the top of the cliff instead of skiing down the first part? That would be quite large as well, I've heard of people doing it, but I've never seen it. That'd have to be a good 50+ feet if you made it over the traverse. It'd be doable for sure, but I don't quite have the balls necessary to go that big yet.
 
^i'll be watching for that. a few years ago there was a jump built off of that and it was HUGE. and i never got to see anyone hit it...
