Oh God! It's a creative ski thread title

So I've been wondering for my next ski for next year.

I'm looking for a ski with a soft soft flex(like my thugs) and between 100mm and 110mm and in in the 180cm plus length, so don't say Beths.

My Body dimensions are 6'2" and 165lbs(185 cm 75kgs for us Canadians)

So far I've been looking at the Scott P4's and 4FRNT VCT's in either of the lenghts.

I've skied Bacons, didn't like them.

So what are you ideas on these skis?

Any other skis that follow in this criteria?

I'm looking for a ski to replace my Prophet 90'

s, I've abandoned them(up for sale, pm me).

It's just an idea to get new skis.

My Thugs are ever so fun, I just need something thinner for spring/skied out conditions.

ur 90s have a stiffer flex tho, are u looking for something more like that to power through soft conditions? or just get another pair of thugs?

I'm addicted to soft fat skis now.

I'm not buying another pair of Thugs till I need them.

I'm just looking for a fat, soft ski thats fun and is better than turning compared to Thugs.

i dont think p4s are soft, i hear they are more for charging, but i may be wrong. what about the Pm Bro models? they have a 179 fat edition thats like 111 underfoot and have a choice of soft or stiff flex. theyre popular on tgr, and i hear good things about them. the site is www.pmgear.com

thanks for adding to the conversation

any way. the scott p4 is a diffrent ski in its diffrent lengths for instance the 170 is a good all round ski that is good in the tree's not bad in the park and relitvly soft ski. the 190 is a stiffer charging ski and the180 is inbetween the two

Yea, something thinner than my thugs.

I flexed the P4's in the length I want them.

They are soft, as well as the VCT's.

The other skis I dont know much about.

And Volkl makes stiff/pricy skis, and I work at A&W, the math just doesn't work out

save up man! it will work

and you should also check out the ARV's or the kung fujas next year

they might be the ski you are looking for...or not

Made'n?

Those are your money ticket if you can find a pair, but the Moments might be nice too, I've never ridden a pair.

But the Made'n is perfect @ 108 underfoot and a nice, soft flex.

I think that the BROS flex chart is relative...when they say stiff they mean, 2x4 with edges stiff, when they say soft, they mean somewhere around the Gotamas flex.

I could be wrong though, but I know that all the TGR guys like their skis to be really stiff, and the boys at PMgear build to suit their market.

115 is too much

im looking close to the 100+ range

thanks though

so again...any good thoughts on P4's or VCTs

I like the simple idea of posting the name of a ski

it doesnt help much for me though

seven letters dont tell me about the ski

So I would appreciate it if someone posted a comment that explained the ski to my criteria

how about moment rubys size 180 = 138-110-130, havent tried them but my friend demoed them yesterday and loved them, he said they turned so good in the powder, and the powder was like impossible for me to turn in with my invaders, and the powder was very heavy

Moment Tahoe all mountain freeride Sizes 170: 127-96-118 180:127-96-118 188: 130-96-119 Melee pow jib/park jib Sizes 186: 135-120-135 Moment Reno Rocker park jib/pow jib (rockered/reverse camber): sizes 181:117-90-117 might have more sizes in rocker next year

thank you

and thank you to the post above me as well

these skis sound interesting, ask your friend if the were soft or not

like soft soft

and get back to me

that would be lovely

i hear good things about the p4, almost bought a pair myself, but since i live on the ec, i decided to go with a pair of foils i got real cheap

what i was thinking.

Also I live in Canada and Kilograms means nothing to me, we use lbs for weight, and feet for measuring people, just kms for distance, Litres for volume, etc. Sort of a hibrid system that takes the best of imperial and metric, lol, its kind afunny actually.

I live in Canada as well, I just felt like using both systems to show everyone that I am smart.

I am only considering a second ski, I've been on my Thugs for every single condition that you can have at a mountain.

Bacons, VCT's, moment Rubys

I love my Bacons, such a sick ski, rips pow obviously, and is good on groomers and shit too. Turning radius is super dope and likes to turn, and very flexible too.

I've already stated that I dont want Bacons.

I want to know more on how the VCT's and Rubys ski. Anyone?

Bumping this so deal with it.

Narrowed choices down to 4FRNT VCT's 182. Scott P4's 181 and Moment Ruby's 181.

Would still like to know more about the Ruby's.

All those Moment Riders, give me an honest response, not just the one that people always use so thier product gets bought.

yeah right.

new recomendation is obSETHed.

a tad wider now, little bit of rocker, and there's no doubt they'll kill it.

he didnt know for sure, because he was only in the powder and he couldnt tell for sure, but he said that they seemed very soft, but then again he is also used to pes, so you should probably ask a moment rep or something
